Васпитање је кроз свој историјски развој досегло до медијског васпитања, најновијег, али не и посљедњег развојног облика васпитања. Живот, рад и учење човјека 21. века незамисливи су без медија. Различити медији све више се инкорпорирају и у васпитно-образовни процес, почев од предшколског васпитања, па све до високог образовања и образовања одраслих. Циљ истраживања је да се идентификују начини кориштења медија, те да се утврде ставови о кориштењу медија у односу на социопедагошка обиљежја ученика, те да се изведу импликације о томе које су педагошке вриједности кориштења медија у слободном времену ученика основне школе. Резултати истраживања показују да ученици основне школе у слободном времену користе различите медије, највише ТВ, мобилни телефон и Интернет. Кориштење медија у слободном времену детерминишу сљедећи фактори: позитивно вредновање медија и телекомуникација, критички однос према медијима, преференције спорта и дружења помоћу медија, аудиомедији и посредне комуникације и радозналост и сврсисходно кориштење медија. У односу на идентификоване факторе утврђене су статистички значајне разлике код појединих фактора у односу на социопедагошка обиљежја ученика.

Да би једно инструментално дело могло да оживи кроз ликовни рад, важно је научити како се активно слуша музичка композиција, те омогућити такву атмосферу, где ученик, без претходних инструкција, стереотипа и предубеђења кроз ликовни рад изражава свој доживљај послушане композиције и развија креативне спсобности.
