Analisa o nível de desenvolvimento de competências pelos formandos do Curso de Graduação em Arquivologia da Universidade Federal da Paraíba. A pesquisa, de natureza descritiva e quantitativa, apresenta um embasamento teórico sobre competências na educação e formação do profissional arquivista e se desdobra por meio de um estudo de caso, sendo utilizado um questionário baseado nas competências definidas pelo Projeto Político Pedagógico do Curso de Arquivologia (2008) contendo 23 competências em uma escala Likert onde se coletaram dados de duas turmas concluintes no período 2015. No tratamento dos dados, utilizou-se uma Análise de Agrupamentos, em que as competências são alocadas em grupos de três níveis e se faz uma relação entre as competências e as disciplinas ministradas no curso de Arquivologia da UFPB. Os resultados demonstram que, na opinião dos alunos, estes desenvolveram grande parte das competências em sua maioria e algumas competências obtiveram níveis baixos de obtenção.Palavras-chave: Arquivologia.
