Systemtheorie und differenztheoretische Forschung: Überlegungen zu einer semantikanalytischen Beobachtungspraxis Michaela Zöhrer Der Beitrag stellt eine semantik-analytische Beobachtungspraxis als einen vielversprechenden Ausgangspunkt für systemtheoretisch informierte empirische Forschungsarbeit vor. Ausgehend von der Annahme, dass ein besonderer Reiz eines semantik-analytischen Zugangs darin besteht, Anknüpfungspunkte zwischen systemtheoretischen und anderen differenztheoretischen Perspektiven und Analysehaltungen offen zu legen, werden neuere Rezeptionen und Weiterführungen der Luhmannschen Semantikkonzeption vorgestellt. Ersichtlich wird die Breite und Vielfalt an Forschungsfeldern und-fragen, welche sich mittels einer empirischen Semantikanalyse erschließen lassen, fasst man diese zuvorderst als eine (Konstitutions-)Analytik zur Erforschung von Praxen wiederholten, sich konkret bewährenden Unterscheidungsgebrauchs. Abschließend werden Schnittmengen und Unterschiede zwischen den verschiedenen differenztheoretischen Beobachtungsperspektiven diskutiert, die künftige Forschung weiter beschäftigen können, wenn das Forschungsinteresse politischer und kultureller Praxis sowie deren Verwobenheit gilt.
Eine Soziologie internationaler Beziehungen bietet viele Perspektiven, nicht nur aufgrund der theoretischen und thematischen Vielfalt der Soziologie, sondern auch hinsichtlich dessen, was mit ›internationaler Politik‹ 2 als ihr konstituierender Analysegegenstand betrachtet wird. In diesem Beitrag sollen Perspektiven auf die politische Kommunikation der Weltgesellschaft, die sich mit einer empirischen Semantikanalyse eröffnen, vorgestellt werden: Hierfür greifen wir Überlegungen einer systemtheoretisch informierten Wissenssoziologie auf, um damit die ›internationale Politik‹ bzw. das, was als ›internationale Politik‹ gilt, soziologisch zu beobachten. Wir interessieren uns mit anderen Worten dafür, wie ›internationale Politik‹ beobachtet und beschrieben wird, sich selbst beobachtet und beschreibt. Unsere Aufmerksamkeit richtet sich somit sowohl auf die gesellschaftlichen Konstruktionen der Wirklichkeiten internationaler Politik als auch auf politische Beobachtungen weltgesellschaftlicher Wirklichkeit.Wir werden nachfolgend argumentieren, dass sich mit einer wissenssoziologisch inspirierten Perspektive auf die politische Kommunikation der Weltgesellschaft zum einen (neue) Forschungsgegenstände für empirische Analysen ›internationaler Poli-tik‹ anders erschließen als etwa im so genannten moderaten (Sozial-)Konstruktivismus (vgl. Risse 2003; Ulbert 2005; Wendt 1999) der Internationalen Beziehungen (IB), dessen Aufmerksamkeit sich nur auf bestimmte Konstruktionen wie etwa internationale Normen oder ähnliches richtet. E. immer noch als die sowohl umgangssprachlich als auch wissenschaftlich am weitesten verbreitete Bezeichnung des uns interessierenden Analysegegenstandes gelten kann. Die Rede von der ›internationalen Politik‹ impliziert also nicht, dass wir uns lediglich für inter-nationale oder zwischenstaatliche Beziehungen interessieren.
