Incorporating team learning into the psychiatry clerkship was associated with improved student performance and increased student engagement and satisfaction. Team learning is a promising educational strategy that may prove useful in other clerkships.

Most of us have some appreciation for the healing nature of forgiveness in our personal lives, even if we do not always practice it! But, in the world of work it is an act even more rare than the expression of authentic gratitude and appreciation. It is the intention of this paper to show that, in this new economy, which is characterized by escalating speed of change, increasing alienation and a growing search for meaning, it makes good business sense to practice the art of forgiveness. True forgiveness supports the retention of valued employees, allows for greater creativity and innovation, leads to increased profitability, and generates greater flexibility in adapting to changing market conditions.

In this article a university professor, former student, and father describe the father's interactions with his toddler-age son within a parent-child playgroup. The authors discuss the important role of fathers, what they learned from observing the father interact with his son, and implications for teachers and other professionals.

Birth order was investigated to determine its interrelationship with other personality variables in questionnaire form: trait anxiety, locus of control, and need for achievement in a special sample of 20 national calibre Olympic weight lifters. More were firstborn (65%) than later born (35%). One-way analysis of variance showed that later-born lifters were significantly more internal than firstborn lifters in their locus of control beliefs. Firstborn lifters demonstrated a significantly greater need for achievement. All weight lifters, whether firstborns or later borns, scored relatively low on trait anxiety. The results were discussed in support of the trait approach as viable in research on personality for sport psychologists when relevant traits or states are studied according to specific task demands of sports.
