The purpose of this study is to examine the smartphone addiction levels among university students. For this purpose, first of all, students' addiction levels were determined, and then it was examined whether these levels differed according to the gender of the students, the purpose of using the internet on the smartphone, and the usage times of smartphones. The causal comparison method was used in the research as a quantitative research method and the sampling of the research consisted of 435 students studying in the Faculty of Theology at Ondokuz Mayıs University and who were determined by the accessible sampling method. In order to determine the smartphone addiction levels of university students, the data was obtained with the Smartphone Addiction Scale. Descriptive statistics, the independent samples t-test, and one-way analysis of variance were used to analyze the obtained data. The results of the research showed that students studying in the Faculty of Theology had low levels of smartphone addiction, male students had higher levels of smartphone addiction compared to female students, the use of social media via smartphones increased the risk of addiction, and that students with a higher average daily smartphone usage also had higher levels of addiction.
ÖzBu çalışmanın amacı İslam dini ve iş ahlakı ilişkisi çerçevesinde literatür çalışması yapmak ve çırakların dini inançları ile iş ahlakı düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Bu amaçla geliştirilen ‚İş Ahlakı Ölçeği‛, 2011-2012 eğitim-öğretim yılında Ordu ili Mesleki Eğitim Merkezi'nde öğrenim gören 116 çırağa uygulanmıştır. Toplanan verilerin analizinde ve hipotezlerin test edilmesinde tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, ticarette yalan söylememe prensibi ve ticaretle ilgili bir ayete inanma durumu ile çırakların iş ahlakı tutum puan ortalamaları arasında önemli bir fark olduğu; ticaretle ilgili bir hadise inanma durumu ile çırakların iş ahlakı tutum puan ortalamaları arasında ise önemli bir fark olmadığı görülmüştür. According to the Religious Beliefs of Apprentices Examining of the Degree of Their Business Ethics (The Case of Ordu) AbstractThe main aims of this study are to set forth the relationship between Islamic religion and business ethics in light of literature and to examine the relationship between the religious faith of apprentices and the level of their business ethics. For this purpose a ‚Scale of Business Ethics‛ was developed and administered to 116 apprentices who studied at Mesleki Eğitim Merkezi (Professional Education Center) in Ordu, 2011-2012 academic years. For the analysis of data and checking of hypothesis, one-way variety analysis (ANOVA) was used. It was found that there was a significant difference between the principle of not lying and believing a verse related to the trade and the average total scale scores; there was no significant difference between the believing a hadith concerning trade and the average total scale scores.
