Palm is a type of palm whose potential for high economic value and can thrive in Indonesia. Nagari Andaleh Baruh Bukik is an area in Tanah Datar District that is a center of palm crop production and has the potential to be developed by its economy. Seeing a promising market, the idea was born to process ant sugar into brown sugar cubes by making a brown sugar cube printer. The manufacture of brown sugar cubes using the manual press method with a pressing system utilizes the principle of the 2nd type of leverage, where the load point is between the power point and the fulcrum. This pressing system works if the lever is pulled by the operator according to the specified depth limit, to restore the position of the lever to its original position is to take advantage of the spring force. It takes about 392 N to press the mold. By doing the calculation so that a mechanical profit is obtained 3 times, the total force required to press is 130.6 N. The safety factor equation is 69.76 N/mm2 ≤ 200 MPa with the largest curved moment being 130.87 N/mm2, so this tool is safe and will not be bent. Corrosion is a spontaneous process that occurs in metals due to environmental influences. The formation of corrosion on metal surfaces cannot be prevented, but the rate of corrosion can be slowed down. One of the efforts to slow down the corrosion rate is by electroplating the metal surface.The electroplating process of brass on low-carbon steel ST-37 has been carried out with variations in time of 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes and 25 minutes and variations in the temperature of the electrolyte solution at 40 ° C, 45 ° C, 50 ° C, and 55 ° C. Characterization of layers using a stereo microscope and hardness with the Vicker hard test. The test results show that the increase in time and temperature is directly proportional to the thickness and hardness produced. The lowest thickness and hardness values were found at 40 ° C with a time of 10 minutes 11.323 μm 182.4 VHN, and the highest mean thickness and hardness values were obtained at 25 minutes with a temperature of 55 ° C, namely 29.333 μm and 218.8 VHN. From the results obtained, it can be concluded that the increase in time and temperature given is directly proportional to thickness and hardness. The highest thickness and hardness values were obtained at 25 minutes with a solution temperature of 55 ° C.
Saat ini teknologi untuk menyuplai air masih banyak menggunakan pompa dengan penggerak motor listrik. Sebagian besar pompa tersebut memiliki ketergantungan akan energi listrik atau bahan bakar minyak sebagai energi penggerak pompa. Salah satu teknologi yang mulai dikembangkan adalah pompa hydraulic ram. Pompa hidram bekerja berdasarkan prinsip palu air. Ketika aliran fluida dihentikan secara tiba-tiba maka perubahan momentum massa fluida tersebut akan meningkatkan tekanan secara tiba-tiba. Peningkatan tekanan ini digunakan untuk mengangkat sebagian air ke tempat yang lebih tinggi. Maka dirancanglah pompa hidram yang menggunakan energi potensial air sebagai penggeraknya. Dalam perancangan pompa hidram yang dilakukan, menggunakan variasi tinggi tabung udara dengan tinggi 100 cm, 80 cm dan 60 cm dengan diameter 3 inch dan diameter pipa keluaran ½ inch dengan ketinggian sumber air 0,5 m. Dari percobaan di dapat debit pompa maksimum pada tabung udara dengan tinggi 100 cm dengan debit sebesar 0,010309 L/s.
The pump is a device that can lift water from a lower height to a higher place, but because there are many pumps in the market that use electricity as a power plant and the selling price is quite high for rural communities, an appropriate pump is needed and cheap. Hydram pump is one alternative, where the workings of this tool can raise the water to a higher place with energy or power that comes from the water itself. Making Hydram pumps itself is relatively inexpensive, simple and durable. Hydram pumps are very popular because they work without using energy, so it is suitable for use in villages that do not have electricity. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the height of the incoming water and the diameter of the outlet pipe on the height of the outlet water at the hydram pump. In this study the height of the incoming water was varied as high as 0.5m, 1m and 1.5m while the diameter of the aoutlaet pipe was varied by 0.5inc, ¾ inc and 1 inc. From this experiment it was found that the height of the incoming water and the diameter of the outlet pipe significantly influence the height of the outgoing water, of the two factors most influential on the height of the outgoing water is the height of the incoming water
The quality of a product determines the level of market demand. This paper discusses the determination of the quality level of plastic molding with the sigma level method which uses the Box Plot to determine the desired quality limit. The purpose of this research is to determine the level of quality of product using statistics. The object of this research is to determine the weight variation of the souvenir of PNP logo with a weight indicator. The experiment were carried out on 200 samples taken at random.Then each sample is numbered from 1 to 200. Each sample is weighed carefully. The results obtained were processed using a box plot to obtain the numbered of rejected samples from 200 samples that were weighed. The result of data processing obtained 19 reject products from 200 products tested. From this data there are 9,5% of products that do not meet the desired specifications. Furthermore, the sigma level is determined from the results of data processing using a box plot. DPMO of 9.5% is 95000 Defects per Milion Opportunities. The result of determining the sigma level is 2.8 Sigma.
