The measurement of the microwave field is crucial for many developments in microwave technology and related applications. However, measuring microwave fields with high sensitivity and spatial resolution under ambient conditions remains elusive. In this work, we propose and experimentally demonstrate a scheme to measure both the strength and orientation of the microwave magnetic field by utilizing the quantum coherent dynamics of nitrogen vacancy centres in diamond. An angular resolution of 5.7 mrad and a sensitivity of 1.0 μT Hz−1/2 are achieved at a microwave frequency of 2.6000 GHz, and the microwave magnetic field vectors generated by a copper wire are precisely reconstructed. The solid-state microwave magnetometry with high resolution and wide frequency range that can work under ambient conditions proposed here enables unique potential applications over other state-of-art microwave magnetometry.

ObjectiveRemote ischemic conditioning (RIC) has been demonstrated to be safe and feasible for patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS), as well as for those receiving intravenous thrombolysis. We assessed the safety and feasibility of RIC for AIS patients undergoing endovascular treatment (ET).MethodsWe conducted a pilot study with patients with AIS who were suspected of having an emergent large‐vessel occlusion in the anterior circulation and who were scheduled for ET within 6 hours of ictus. Four cycles of RIC were performed before recanalization, immediately following recanalization, and once daily for the subsequent 7 days. The primary outcome was any serious RIC‐related adverse events.ResultsTwenty subjects, aged 66.1 ± 12.1 years, were recruited. No subject experienced serious RIC‐related adverse events. The intracranial pressure, cranial perfusion pressure, mean arterial pressure, heart rate, middle cerebral artery peak systolic flow velocity, and pulsatility index did not change significantly before, during, or after the limb ischemia (P > 0.1 for all). Of 80 cycles, 71 (89%) were completed before recanalization and 80 (100%) were completed immediately after recanalization; 444 of 560 cycles (78%) were completed within 7 days posttreatment. No patients had to stop RIC because it affected routine clinical managements. Six subjects (30%) experienced intracerebral hemorrhage, which was symptomatic in one case (5%). At the 3‐month follow‐up, 11 subjects (55%) had achieved functional independence, and two subjects (10%) died.Interpretation RIC appears to be safe and feasible for patients with AIS undergoing ET. Investigations are urgently needed to determine the efficacy of RIC in this patient population.

Succinate dehydrogenase inhibitors (SDHIs) have emerged in fungicide markets as one of the fastest-growing categories that are widely applied in agricultural production for crop protection. Currently, the structural modification focusing on the flexible amide link of SDHI molecules is being gradually identified as one of the innovative strategies for developing novel highly efficient and broad-spectrum fungicides. Based on the above structural features, a series of pyrazole-4-acetohydrazide derivatives potentially targeting fungal SDH were constructed and evaluated for their antifungal effects against Rhizoctonia solani, Fusarium graminearum, and Botrytis cinerea. Strikingly, the in vitro EC50 values of constructed pyrazole-4-acetohydrazides 6w against R. solani, 6c against F. graminearum, and 6f against B. cinerea were, respectively, determined as 0.27, 1.94, and 1.93 μg/mL, which were obviously superior to that of boscalid against R. solani (0.94 μg/mL), fluopyram against F. graminearum (9.37 μg/mL), and B. cinerea (1.94 μg/mL). Concurrently, the effects of the substituent steric, electrostatic, hydrophobic, and hydrogen-bond fields on structure–activity relationships were elaborated by the reliable comparative molecular field analysis and comparative molecular similarity index analysis models. Subsequently, the practical value of pyrazole-4-acetohydrazide derivative 6w as a potential SDHI was ascertained by the relative surveys on the in vivo anti-R. solani preventative efficacy, inhibitory effects against fungal SDH, and molecular docking studies. The present results provide an indispensable complement for the structural optimization of antifungal leads potentially targeting SDH.

The aim of this study was to examine the effect of abscisic acid (ABA), sucrose, and auxin on grape fruit development and to assess the mechanism of these three factors on the grape fruit ripening process. Different concentrations of ABA, sucrose, and auxin were used to treat the grape fruit, and the ripening-related indices, such as physiological and molecular level parameters, were analyzed. The activity of BG protein activity was analyzed during the fruit development. Sucrose, ABA, and auxin influenced the grape fruit sugar accumulation in different ways, as well as the volatile compounds, anthocyanin content, and fruit firmness. ABA and sucrose induced, but auxin blocked, the ripening-related gene expression levels, such as softening genes PE, PG, PL, and CELL, anthocyanin genes DFR, CHI, F3H, GST, CHS, and UFGT, and aroma genes Ecar, QR, and EGS. ABA, sucrose, and glucose induced the fruit dry weight accumulation, and auxin mainly enhanced fruit dry weight through seed weight accumulation. In the early development of grape, starch was the main energy storage; in the later, it was glucose and fructose. Sucrose metabolism pathway-related gene expression levels were significant for glucose and fructose accumulation. BG protein activity was important in the regulation of grape ABA content levels. ABA plays a core role in the grape fruit development; sucrose functions in fruit development through two pathways: one was ABA dependent, the other ABA independent. Auxin blocked ABA accumulation to regulate the fruit development process.
