Room temperature pyroelectric properties and adiabatic temperature change of (001)-textured ferroelectric multilayers on Si are computed by taking into account electrostatic interlayer interactions and thermal strains. We show that by adjusting internal electrical fields through changing relative thicknesses in a multilayer ferroelectric construct, electrothermal properties can be significantly enhanced. A quantitative analysis is provided for BaTiO 3-PbZr 0.2 Ti 0.8 O 3 (BTO-PZT) and SrTiO 3-PbZr 0.2 Ti 0.8 O 3
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
