Rosca which is popular among the communities that cannot make use of the formal financial markets is preferably used more by the castes having limited or no regular income level. According to the results of the observations about Turkey-which is evaluated within the category of developing countries -it is found that roscas are used widely by individuals from a wide range of socioeconomic and demographic characteristics. Moreover, the literature review about the reasons of attending a rosca cannot explain properly this wide commitment rates in Turkey. According to the results obtained by the questionnaire developed for this research it is opposed that there can be new reasons of participating rosca such as avoiding from interest and socializing. Moreover by the parametric tests conducted it is found that the reasons of participating a rosca are affected by the socioeconomic and demographic characteristics of individuals.
Contrary to the traditional economic school of thought, emotions known to have a huge effect on cognitive processes leading to decisions. In this context, it can be observed that some television shows provide a very appropriate test-bed for examining decision-making behavior under risk. This study attempts to estimate the degree of Arrow-Pratt RRA for a group of decision-makers composed of 101 “Deal or No Deal” TV show contestants. For further analysis, a “face-reading” software was employed in order to identify emotions experienced by contestants at various parts of the game, and the influence of such emotions on the risk aversion behavior. Our findings suggest that emotions have an influence on the decisions of the contestants.

Bu çalışmada otel işletmesi çalışanlarının örgütsel erteleme davranışı düzeyleri ve bu davranışın çeşitli değişkenlere göre farklılıklarının tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında Alanya'daki beş yıldızlı otellerde çalışan 419 kişiden 2019 yılı Ağustos -Ekim ayları arasında kolayda örneklem yöntemiyle anket elde edilmiştir. İş görenlerin örgütsel erteleme davranışlarının bazı değişkenlere göre farklılıklarını belirleyebilmek için, bağımsız örneklemler için t testinden ve tek yönlü varyans analizinden (ANOVA) yararlanılmıştır. Bulgular ışığında genel olarak çalışanların çok yüksek bir erteme davranışı sergilemedikleri tespit edilmiştir. Katılımcıların erteleme davranışlarında, cinsiyetleri, turizm eğitimi alma durumları, işletmelerinin sezonluk veya tüm yıl olma durumları, öğrenim durumları, yaşları, maaşları, görevleri, departmanları ve deneyimlerine göre istatistiki olarak anlamlı farklılaştığı tespit edilmiştir.
