Becupin tradition is a Malay ethnic cultural heritage from Kapuas Hulu, namely an entertainment program that is held at the first wedding of the Malay ethnic Kapuas Hulu. In its development, this tradition has begun to be forgotten by the community, because it is no longer attractive, people prefer entertainment events by hiring local singers or artists. more modern both the music and the singer. The purpose of this study is to describe the becupin tradition which has begun to be eroded by the times, and the efforts of the younger generation to maintain the becupin tradition as part of the Kapuas Hulu Malay ethnic culture. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method, providing an overview of the processes, implementation, and efforts made by the young generation to maintain the existence of local cultural traditions by collecting observations and reinforced by interviews with informants who have been determined by the researcher. The results of this study are the process of performing the becupin tradition with the staging that has been prepared by the wedding event committee, then the implementation is carried out at the reception and the evening after the reception event, while the value contained in this becupin tradition is to provide advice to the bride and groom so that they can maintain their marriage until the end of their lives, as well as the efforts made by the Malay community of Kapuas Hulu is to provide flexibility for the younger generation to become committee members and become actors in this tradition so that they can survive amidst the flow of modernization. This research is one of the studies that is still lacking in exploring Malay ethnic cultural traditions, especially in riverside communities in Kapuas Hulu.
The purpose of this study was to find out the implementation of the independent curriculum for one of the private high schools in Pontianak City. The implementation of the independent curriculum at SMAS Kemala Bhayangkari builds the character and competence of students through strengthening the Pancasila student profile project (P5). The P5 embodiment collaborates Economics and Cultural Arts lessons in phase E (grade 10). The qualitative research method is descriptive type. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews and documentation. The results in this research are the application of the independent curriculum at SMAS Kemala Bhayangkari only in the lowest grade level, namely grade 10. The implementation of the independent curriculum was very different before its implementation, where the learning process of the independent curriculum dominantly used project activities by students. SMAS Kemala Bhayangkari only uses 3 projects, including Unity in Diversity, Entrepreneurship and Building Soul and Body. Each project has outcomes in the form of knowledge and creative work or practice. The implementation of the project has an impact on schools, teachers and students. The impact is that students are more active, teachers are more innovative and schools are always ready to conduct training and upgrade teacher knowledge.
The learning process in any field is always based on measurable methods and systems, both in practical education and theoretical. This study raises the imagination of imagery in the artistic world, namely learning Prawira Watang dance at the Department of Dance, Indonesian Institute of the Art Surakarta. The background of this research is practice of imagery in the dance world is rarely discussed and researched. The purpose of this study was to determine the process and implications of mental imagery training in learning Prawira Watang Dance subjects. The research assessment used is quantitative. The analytical tool used in Komarudin and Monty P Satiadarma's discussion of mental imaging: the principles of mental imaging, classification, type, and respiration in the Prawira Watang dance practice subject. The results of the analysis conclude and it is found that mental imagery training methods have implications for the area of concentration, increase self-confidence, control emotions, and increase the strength of partnerships and strategies. If traced into the area of the Prawira Watang dance, this implication is more significant for the areas most effective, movement, aesthetic skills, and imaginary training methods.
