This study aims to describe: 1) the learning models used in the implementation of STEM education in Indonesia, 2) the level of education used in the implementation of STEM education in Indonesia, 3) the effect of STEM education in Indonesia on the students’ learning outcome. This is a literature review study, 27 articles were analyzed based on the research method, level of education, learning models, and learning outcome. A within-case analysis was carried out to analyze the articles in the dataset. The research result showed that: 1)STEM education in Indonesia was carried out by using the learning models: Project Based Learning (PjBL), 6E, HOTS assessment based-learning, inquiry,Think Pair Share (TPS), Problem Based Learning (PBL), android game, digital and student book based-learning, PjBL is the learning model which most widely used in the implementation of STEM education in Indonesia, 2) STEM education in Indonesia was conducted in elementary school, junior and senior high school, but very limited in university level, 3) STEM education in Indonesia was effective on the students’ learning outcome: scientific literacy, creative thinking, critical thinking, attitude, HOTS, character, achievement, problem solving, and 21st century skill.

The need for environmental literacy in development agenda has been pressing since the UN proposed the agenda of achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). One of the vital aspect of in sustainable development is about waste management to reduce earth’s pollution. Environmental Literacy were considered as one of the few perspectives necessary for SDGs to be achieved. Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), formerly known as Environmental Education, through science education is one way to develop the environmental literacy of the society through classroom activities. One approach that fits closely to this need is STEAM approach. STEAM is a combination of five different disciplines namely Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. This approach has a room for developing students’ environmental literacy within its Arts aspect. Teaching Environmental literacy through STEAM would help students not only learning how to be a scientist or engineer, but also building their scientific awareness to environmental issue, which will be the underlying value of their STEM insight. This study seeks to find the current state of the arts of this concept through a bibliometric research. This research was conducted using the Publish or Perish application to create a database of journal articles, which further managed using Zotero application. After managing the database, this study classified and visualized the database using VOSviewer software. The terms “Environmental Literacy”, “STEAM”, and “waste management” were used to search the relevant published journal article related to all three concepts, as indexed in Google Scholar since 1969 to 2020. This study found only a total of 163 result from Google Scholar Index. Further refinement of the results shows that published research are still scarce in the last 51 years and in need of further study to strengthen the concept. Authors also discuss about several suggestions on how STEAM could be considered as a way to develop students Environmental Literacy on waste management.

A learning environment has become one of the vital factors in ensuring the students' success in achieving good grades. Although past research focus on students' performance but the evolution of the learning environment has opened a new direction in understanding students' learning. There are many factors that can be grouped into the learning environment. This paper aims at validating the Learning Environment Instrument by using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) which has 40 items and 5-point Likert scale. The instrument has five constructs, including students' closeness, teacher support, involvement, cooperation and equality. The instrument was distributed to 1887 secondary school students from selected high performance school in Malaysia. Confirmatory Factor Analysis was used to validate the instrument using AMOS 16.0. The result revealed that the measurement model of learning environment fitted with the collected data. Fit index tests like CMIN/DF, TLI, CFI, IFI, NFI and RMSEA were used to obtain the model fit. In conclusion, the instrument was found to be valid and reliable in measuring learning environment in this context of study.

The research presented in this article is a systematic review of the literature on the assessment of mathematical modeling in the setting of mathematics education published in the previous five years. This research has compiled the current best information from around the world to offer an overview of the assessment of mathematical modeling for pre-service mathematics teachers or mathematics teachers. We followed the approach used in Joklitschke et al. ( 2021), which involved 10 steps in systematic literature review (SLR). We accessed using Web of Science (WoS), Scopus, and mathematics education journals that are ranked 1-10. Based on a full-text analysis of 18 peerreviewed papers published in English, most of the research was conducted among pre-service mathematics teacher and most of the studies were conducted in Turkey, United States, and Germany. The future trends and opportunities were also discussed. We also found that most test types employed for measuring modeling competency were project, cognitive dimension, holistic approach, and the tests utilized more qualitative approach.
