INTRODUCCIÓNLa diversidad es una variable relacionada con la estabilidad económica de los sistemas urbanos y regionales. Es ampliamente aceptada la tesis de que a mayor diversidad de las unidades económicas en una ciudad, la economía de ésta puede soportar cambios cíclicos en la demanda y por ende el empleo global se mantiene en límites aceptables (Bahl, Firestine y Phares, 1971;Simon, 1988 (2003) han mostrado, para casos específicos, que la tasa de desempleo es menor entre más diversificada industrialmente sea la ciudad.Dos maneras de medir la diversidad industrial son el índice de diversidad de Shannon-Weaver (Attaran, y Zwick, 1987a; 1987b; Nissan y Carter, 2010)
Se presenta una propuesta metodológica para el análisis de resultados de gráficos estadísticos, en donde el ancho de bin es el principal factor de cambio para su representación. Se implementa un pseudocódigo que permite visualizar los pasos a seguir para obtenerlo. Se realizó un ejercicio para mostrar la pérdida o ganancia de información al implementar la Densidad de Kernel y también la ausencia de esta. La propuesta se hizo directamente con la metodología de Bowman y Azzalini (1997) en Matlab y el generado en este trabajo. Se utilizó el test de Kolmogorov-Smirnov para validar las ventajas del método propuesto. Se encontró que el método propuesto permite una mejor tendencia de los datos ya sea positiva, negativa o simétrica y poca o escasa pérdida de información con respecto evaluación estadística aplicando densidad de kernel; de este modo es una opción para obtener un mejor análisis estadístico cuantitativa y cualitativamente y además puede ser reproducido en temas similares.
Se presenta un método para modelado geométrico aplicando un algoritmo genético en el que la población (individuos) son los puntos de control de curvas Bézier de primer, segundo o tercer grado. Con la aplicación de este método se obtienen figuras sólidas, continuas y suavizadas y se discuten algunas aplicaciones que van desde la ingeniería de nanomateriales, pasando por el modelado de prótesis hasta macro estructuras mecánicas complejas y ciencias sociales.
El artículo estudia el cuerpo de bomberos voluntarios de San Luis Potosí. Se establecen sus problemas, su estructura organizacional, el equipamiento y la distribución espacial de las estaciones de bomberos. La forma en que funciona este servicio público se aborda mediante el análisis de datos espaciales. Los resultados muestran una clara debilidad tanto organizacional como en equipamiento, lo que genera una situación de riesgo para la ciudad en el medio plazo.
En este trabajo se presenta una propuesta utilizando la perspectiva de la Teoría Evolutiva de Lamarck para entender el Aprendizaje de Refuerzo en sistemas estables. Se utiliza como arquetipo de estudio un modelo de cooperación con NetLogo y las caminatas aleatorias para entender la difusión de un mensaje, el cual puede preservarse o perderse a través del tiempo, incluso llegar a convertirse en un nuevo mensaje (llamado mutación) que quizá logre beneficiar o afectar a una población. La simulación evolutiva se realizó en dos partes con tres etapas. En la primera se encontró que a pesar de que en un principio había más agentes egoístas que cooperativos aunado a una muy baja probabilidad de cooperación durante la evolución, la cooperación se preserva en las tres etapas. En la segunda simulación se aumentó la distorsión del mensaje con baja probabilidad de cooperación y más individuos egoístas que cooperativos en una población; en la primera etapa predominó el egoísmo, en la segunda emerge la cooperación, mientras que la tercera prevaleció el egoísmo. Este trabajo permite reformular planteamientos en estudios de “Vida Artificial”.
