The Covid-19 pandemic that occurred in early 2020 in the world resulted in many businesses and companies being affected, handling companies in the aviation sector in ASEAN countries. As an investor who is going to invest, of course, you have to assess how the performance of the stock is, whether it will provide good and profitable returns, because the purpose of investors in investing in the capital market is of course to get a good increase (return). Portfolio performance evaluation is the final stage of the investment management process which aims to assess whether the portfolio that has been formed has a good performance and is in accordance with investment objectives. Among them are using the Sharpe, Treynor, and Jensen measurement models. The results showed that the Sharpe Method of Measurement found that the Garuda Indonesia company (-0.9144) had a greater risk and its performance was arguably the lowest compared to the other 3 companies because the Sharpe index value of Garuda Indonesia was higher risk than AirAsia Berhad-Malaysia (-0, 4823), Bangkok Airline-Thailand (-0.4703), and Nok Airlines Public Company-Thailand (-0.1133). None of the portfolios of these 4 companies produced better performance, in fact showed less performance than the benchmark. Meanwhile, the Treynor and Jensen methods also show that the performance of these companies underperforms against the benchmark.
Abstract. Sari M, Nawangsih AA, Wahyudi AT. 2021. Rhizosphere Streptomyces formulas as the biological control agent of phytopathogenic fungi Fusarium oxysporum and plant growth promoter of soybean. Biodiversitas 22: 3015-3023. Rhizosphere Streptomyces are considered as promising sources of plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) and biocontrol agents against pathogenic fungi, particularly Fusarium oxysporum causing root rot, cotyledon rot, hypocotyl rot, and stunted growth in soybean. Formulation of rhizosphere Streptomyces with appropriate carrier materials is necessary to facilitate storage and application in plants. This study aimed to develop a formulation of rhizosphere Streptomyces, apply the formula to control F. oxysporum, and promote soybean plant growth. Five Streptomyces isolates, i.e., Streptomyces panaciradicis ARK 13, Streptomyces tritolerans ARK 17, Streptomyces recifensis ARK 63, Streptomyces tendae ARK 91, and Streptomyces manipurensis ARK 94 were used in this study. All of the isolates could grow in potato broth, rice bran extract, and molasses as alternative media. The highest biomass produced from the molasses growth medium. All five isolates had antifungal activity against F. oxysporum with the inhibition percentage ranging from 41% to 76%, and all of them were detected to have the iaaM gene. Indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) hormone produced by these isolates were ranging from 8.99-15.14 mg L-1, with the phosphate solubilization index of 2.13-2.47. Five rhizosphere Streptomyces formulas with the main carrier of peat could maintain the viability with the population density of 108 CFU g-1 for 8 weeks of storage at room temperature. Two formulas, F17 and F94, were the best formulas to control disease caused by F. oxysporum with disease suppression of 74% in sterile soil and 80-85% in non-sterile soil. Formula F17 and F94 significantly increased soybean growth in sterile and non-sterile soils. Therefore, these formulas could be recommended as biocontrol and plant growth promoters of soybean.
Purpose - To identify the level of awareness of fraud and methods for detecting and preventing fraud in several private and public companies in Indonesia. Research Method - This research uses a quantitative approach to examine these problems. In this study, the sample consisted of directors, managers/supervisors, accountants and employees including internal auditors from public and private sector organizations in several Indonesian companies, especially in Riau and West Sumatra Provinces. Data collection techniques used online-based using Google Form distributed to respondents. Findings - Total of 34 respondents who filled out the questionnaire resulted in the findings of around 76% of employees and managers working in private and public companies being aware of fraud and important factor for companies to consider. Meanwhile, in terms of tools/steps in preventing and detecting fraud in their organization, they are Internal Audit (94.1%), background check of prospective employees (91.2%) and also the Internal Control System (91.2%) which is a mechanism perceived effectiveness by employees within the organization. Implication - Gratification reports from workers, socialization of GCG understanding, if necessary cooperate with state financial transaction supervisors on suspicious transactions in the accounts of workers and workers' families. Moreover, providing understanding in the form of training and socialization about the dangers of fraud and fraud prevention efforts in their organization. Prevention and detection methods need to be developed in the organization.
This study aims to determine the potential of financial distress for Shariah Bank Industry Sector in Indonesia in the 2016-2018 period using the Zmijewski model. The data used in this study are secondary data on Sharia-based Banking in the 2016-2018 period, namely in the form of financial and annual reports from Muamalat Bank, BRI Syariah Bank, BNI Syariah Bank, Mandiri Syariah Bank, and BCA Syariah Bank. The final results of this study indicate that Sharia-based banking in the 2016-2018 period were classified into two categories, namely companies included in the Distress Area and Non-Distress Area categories. The results of the analysis showed that all sharia banks that were used as research samples consistently included in the Non-Distress Area category in the 2016-2018 period, the five companies were included in the healthy category and had no potential to go bankrupt. And the Sharia banking that can be categorized as the healthiest of the five Sharia Bank samples is BCA Syariah Bank, which in this case is stable away from the cut-off point below 0 or Z <0 that is above -3.5.
