Background: Stunting is caused in part by feeding behavior in infants and young children. Knowledge is the most important factor in shaping one's attitude and behavior, particularly when it comes to infants and young children feeding. This study aims to find out how the mothers’ knowledge of infant and child feeding could be increased through booklets in Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. Method: This study is a quasi-experimental non-randomized study with pre and post-test only control design. Study was conducted in Jayabakti Village, Banggai Regency. Sample consisted of 40 mothers of children under five collected with purposive sampling method from October to December 2020. At the local Integrated Health Service Post, booklets were distributed once a month as part of the study intervention. Over the duration of the three-month study period, booklets were distributed three times. The used booklets were the modified version of the WHO-developed Infant and Young Child Feeding Counseling: An Integrated Course. The mean difference was used to compare the results of the pre- and post-tests on knowledge of infant and young child feeding. The hypothesis test was applied with a 95% confidence level of 0.05. Result: The respondents with ages ranging between 15 and 20 were 42.5%. Mothers graduated from senior high schools were 45%. Mothers that had three children were 55.0%. Family income was 586,000 rupiahs in average. After the booklets distribution for three months, there was an increase in the mothers’ knowledge regarding infant and young child feeding. The older the mother's age, the better her knowledge (p=0,015). Factors of children's age and mother's education did not have a significant effect. Conclusion: Mothers knowledge regarding infant and young child feeding at Banggai Regency Central of Sulawesi is generally good. After using the booklets, their knowledge has increased. With time, the mother's knowledge expands. Formal education has no significant effect on infants and young children nutrition knowledge
Ketika pandemi Covid-19 berkembang di seluruh dunia, pemerintah, lembaga internasional, pembuat kebijakan dan pejabat kesehatan masyarakat mulai merekomendasikan penggunaan masker kain nonmedis secara luas untuk mengurangi penularan SARS-CoV-2. Selama pandemi Covid-19, penggunaan masker kain meningkat drastis karena kelangkaan masker medis. Oleh karena meningkatnya kebutuhan akan penggunaan masker dan pentingnya edukasi penggunaan masker kepada masyarakat melatarbelakangi kegiatan edukasi penggunaan masker dan pembagian masker kain untuk pencegahan penularan Covid-19 di Kota Palu. Pembagian masker kain sebanyak ±1000 masker kain dan edukasi penggunaan masker kain kepada pada pembeli dan pedagang di Pasar Tua Bambaru Kota Palu. Educator dari Dosen dan Staf Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu sebanyak 30 Orang. Masker kain yang dibagikan merupakan bantuan dari Badan PPSDM Kesehatan Kementerian Kesehatan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 03 September 2020 di Kota Palu. Penggunaan masker secara langsung dipraktikkan educator dan diikuti oleh (pembeli dan pedagang) masyarakat di Kota Palu. BACKGROUND: The leadership style that is considered effective in responding to the challenges of the times as a result of the decline in human values due to the ethical crisis is a spiritual leadership style. The essence of transformational leadership and spiritual leadership is still not being applied by every leader in the organization. AIM: This study aimed to examine the spiritual-based transformational leadership style at Anutapura Regional General Hospital, Palu. METHODS: There were 12 informants in this qualitative research, namely, key informants from top management elements (two people), main informants (four people), supporting informants from Islamic/Christian/Hindu religious figures (three people), community leaders (1 person), and PPNI professional organization (two people). Sources of data were obtained directly through focus group discussions and in-depth interviews. Data analysis was done using NVIVO which was interpreted into a thematic analysis. RESULTS: There were three themes related to the spiritual-based transformational leadership style in this study, those are (1) emotional skills, (2) spiritual skills, and (3) social skills. First, emotional skills consist of emotional skills and emotional intelligence. Second, spiritual skills consist of spiritual attitude and spiritual intelligence. Third, social skills consist of being able to be social. CONCLUSION: This study provides a perception based on an ideal spiritual-based transformational leadership style consisting of three things that affect the patients’ safety culture. It is hoped that the development of this leadership model indicator can be used as a policy approach in implementing a patient safety culture.
The Healthy community Movement (Germas) is a systematic and planned action held by all components of the nation with awareness, willingness and ability to behave healthy to improve the quality of life. This research aims to initiate the implementation of Germas in the Ministry of Health Polytechnic Palu. This type of research is a quasi-experimental intervention. The research was conducted in Palu City and Poso District on August 10 - November 12, 2018. The population was 167 employees of Ministry of Health Polytechnic Palu, 96 samples taken with simple random sampling technique. The results showed that the physical activity and fruit intake of respondents were generally good. Systole blood pressure ≥140 mmHg as much as 11.5%, Diastole ≥90 mmgHg as much as 25% and Glucose ≥200 mg / dl as much as 6.3%, and cholesterol ≥200 mg / dl as much as 76.0%. Implementation the initiation of healthy community movement at the Ministry of Health Polytechnic Palu can be started with consuming fruit snack and inspection activities, but not for stretching exercises. It is recommended that infrastructure support is needed to initiate the implementation of stretching during work hours at the Ministry of Health Polytechnic in Palu. The implementation of healthy snacks in the meeting room and events at the Ministry of Health Polytechnic Palu can be continued and expanded. The initiation of the implementation of routine health checks including blood pressure check, blood sugar levels check, blood cholesterol check can take advantage of a healthy ATM.Keywords : Initiation, Movement, Healthy Community
SIMAMA adalah Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru Melalui Seleksi Bersama Poltekkes Kemenkes se Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menggambarkan pelaksanaan penerimaan mahasiswa baru melalui seleksi bersama oleh Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu pada masa pandemi COVID-19. Jenis penelitian deskriptif, menggunakan data sekunder SIMAMA dan wawancara panitia sipensimaru Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu tanggal 18 April 2020. Data meliputi wilayah asal, asal sekolah, jenis kelamin, prodi pilihan, jumlah pendaftar, peserta Portofolio dan kuota yang tersedia. Data disajikan dalam bentuk persentase dan grafik batang. Hasil penelitian pertanggal 18 April 2020 menunjukkan bahwa pendaftar yang berasal dari Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah sebesar 96,3%. Lulusan SMA sebesar 79,8%, SMK sebesar 19,9%. Pendaftar perempuan sebanyak 87,5%. Program studi tertinggi yang menjadi pilihan pertama pendaftar adalah DIII Keperawatan Toli-toli sebesar 93,4%, menyusul Sarjana Terapan Kebidanan 67,0% dan Sarjana Terapan Keperawatan + Ners sebesar 63,8%. Kuota 377 orang akan diisi oleh 609 orang peserta (1:2). Persaingan yang paling ketat pada prodi D-III Keperawatan Palu dengan perbandingannya 1:12. Peserta ujian portofolio sebanyak 609 orang dari 1.031 orang pendaftar (59,7%). Kesimpulan; Pendaftar SIMAMA Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu dari Sulawesi Tengah 96,3%. SMA 79,8%, SMK 19,9%. Perempuan 87,5%. Pilihan pertama pendaftar adalah DIII Keperawatan Toli-toli sebesar 93,4%. Kuota 377 orang akan diisi oleh 609 orang peserta (1:2) paling ketat pada prodi D-III Keperawatan Palu (1:12). Peserta ujian portofolio sebanyak 609 orang dari 1.031 orang pendaftar (59,7%). The Participatory Action Research activity method is in the form of socialization and education based on theory and practice related to proper and proper hand washing, proper and proper use of masks, distribution of masks, hand sanitizers and soap and COVID-19 vaccination. The Healthy Community Movement socialization presented resource person Felly Estelita Runtuwene, SE Chair of Commission IX DPR RI in Amurang, South Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi, Monday, October 23, 2021. Tujuan Pengabdian masyarakat adalah sosialisasi Germas di era adaptasi kebiasaan baru Covid-19 kerjasama Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu dengan Komisi IX DPR RI di Amurang Minahasa Selatan Sulawesi Utara. Metode kegiatan Participatory Action Research berupa sosialisasi dan edukasi berbasis teori dan praktik terkait cara mencuci tangan yang baik dan benar, cara memakai masker yang baik dan benar, pembagian masker, hand sanitizer dan sabun serta vaksinasi covid-19. Sosialisasi Germas menghadirkan narasumber Felly Estelita Runtuwene, SE Ketua Komisi IX DPR RI di Amurang Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan Sulawesi Utara pada Senin 23 Oktober 2021. Peserta sebanyak 200 orang berasal dari masyarakat Minahasa Selatan Provinsi Sulawesi Utara. Setelah kegiatan sosialisasi, peserta semakin memahami Germas di masa Covid-19. Pelaksanaan Sosialisasi Germas di Era Adaptasi Kebiasaan Baru Covid-19 Kerjasama Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu dengan Komisi IX DPR RI di Amurang Minahasa Selatan Sulawesi Utara berjalan dengan baik dan capaian kesehatan masyarakat meningkat.
Banjir bandang yang disertai material lumpur, batu dan kayu menerjang desa Rogo. Puluhan rumah warga tertimbun lumpur setinggi 1-2meter dan tidak layak huni. Dampak yang ditimbulkan seperti kekurangan makanan, air bersih serta kebutuhan dasar lainnya. Peran modal sosial dibutuhkan dalam upaya pemulihan pasca bencana banjir bandang. Upaya melibatkan masyarakat dengan donasi atau bantuan kemanusiaan. Oleh karena jumlah korban banjir bandang cukup besar dan kebutuhan korban banjir bandang yang mendesak maka melalui kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan bantuan kemanusiaan civitas akademika Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu untuk Korban Banjir Bandang Rogo, Kabupaten Sigi provinsi Sulawesi Tengah. Kegiatan penggalangan donasi dilakukan setelah informasi dari media sosial tentang kejadian banjir bandang di Desa Rogo. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dengan penyaluran sembako (Beras, minyak goreng, gula pasir, teh) nasi kuning, buah pisang, sayur-sayuran, Biskuit balita dan ibu hamil, popok, ember dan gayung. Kegiatan penggalangan donasi dan penyalurannya dilaksanakan pada tanggal 05-07 September 2021. Masyarakat Rogo yang terdampak banjir bandang menerima dengan baik bantuan yang diberikan dan pelaksanaan kegiatan berjalan dengan lancar.
The flash flood disaster hit Galumpang Village, Aung Village and Bajungan Village in Tolitoli Regency, Central Sulawesi on Wednesday morning 23 March 2022. Due to the large number of victims of flash floods and the urgent needs of victims of flash floods, the Civitas Academic of Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu provided humanitarian aid for victims of flash floods in Tolitoli Regency, Central Sulawesi. Humanitarian assistance in the form of ready-to-eat food, rice, Toothpaste, Soap, Sunlight, Shampoo, Sweetened Condensed Milk, Tea, Sugar, Bucket, Dipper, Mask and Pampers Children under two. The assistance was handed over by the Chief Community Service Officer to the Head of Galumpang Village on April 1, 2022 at the Disaster Management Command Post in Galumpang Village, Dakopamean District, Tolitoli Regency, Central Sulawesi. The flash flood victim’s community as beneficiaries have received assistance from the Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu Academic Community through Community Service activities. ABSTRAK Bencana banjir bandang telah menghantam Desa Galumpang, Desa Aung dan Desa Bajungan di Kabupaten Tolitoli, Sulawesi Tengah pada Rabu dini hari tanggal 23 Maret 2022. Oleh karena besarnya jumlah korban banjir bandang dan kebutuhan korban banjir bandang yang mendesak, maka Civitas Akademika Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu memberikan bantuan kemanusiaan korban banjir bandang di Kabupaten Tolitoli Sulawesi Tengah. Bantuan kemanusian berupa makanan siap saji, beras, Pasta Gigi, Sabun, Sunlight, Shampoo, Susu Kental Manis, Teh, Gula Pasir, Ember, Gayung, masker dan Pampers Baduta. Bantuan diserahkan oleh Ketua Pelaksana Pengabdian Masyarakat kepada Kepala Desa Galumpang pada tanggal 01 April 2022 di Posko Induk Penanggulangan Bencana Desa Galumpang Kecamatan Dakopamean Kabupaten Tolitoli, Sulawesi Tengah. Masyarakat korban banjir bandang sebagai penerima manfaat telah menerima bantuan dari Civitas Akademika Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu melalui kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat.
