The purpose of this study was to compare the impact of giving High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and Oregon Circuit Training on cardiorespiratory endurance abilities. This study used an experimental method with a two group pretest-posttest design. The study population consisted of 20 people, the sample was determined by the total sampling method so that a sample of 20 people was obtained, the sample was then divided into two groups, the HIIT group (10 people) and the Oregon Circuit Training (10 people). The instrument used was the Multistage Fitness Test (MFT). Data analysis using Paired T-Test and Independent T-Test. The results showed that there was an effect of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) on the increase in VO2 Max (ρ value = 0.001), there was an effect of Oregon Circuit Training on the increase in VO2 Max (ρ value = 0.002) and, there was no significant effect comparison between High Intensity. Interval Training (HIIT) and Oregon Circuit Training (ρ value = 0.759), the conclusion is that the increase in cardiorespiratory endurance ability is influenced by the provision of both types of exercise but there is no significant comparison of the effects between the two, as well as the High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) training method. ) showed more effective results (39, 69%). From these results, the HIIT training method or Oregon Circuit Training can be an alternative exercise to increase VO2 Max and can be used for further research with different variables.
Memukul bola merupakan teknik dasar yang wajib dimiliki oleh pemain softball pada saat offense (menyerang). Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan soft toss ball terhadap hasil pukulan dalam olahraga softball. Dalam penelitian ini metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen one grup pretest–posttest desain. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah tim softball Putra Kota Cilegon dengan karakteristik berusia 14-19 tahun teknik purposive random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur hasil pukulan menggunakan instrumen produktivitas hitting komtek PB Perbasasi. Teknik analisis Uji beda yang digunakan menggunakan uji paired sample-t-test. Berdasarkan hasil pretest dan posttest memiliki nilai thitung sebesar 4.76 sedangkan ttabel adalah 2.98 maka thitung > ttabel, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan model latihan menggunakan latihan soft toss ball terhadap hasil pukulan dan besarnya peningkatan hasil pukulan tim softball setelah diberi latihan soft toss ball adalah 13.33%.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship of Concentration and Balance with yeop chagi kicks Achievement Sports Club taekwondo State University of Jakarta. The population and sample in the study were college students who attended a sports club achievement of 35 men with exercise characteristics for a year or more. Data collection techniques use tests and measurements of concentration, balance, and yeop chagi kicks. Technical data analysis uses a significant multiple-level correlation ? 0.05 overall data analysis using SPSS software version 20. The results of this study can conclude that: (i) there is a relationship between concentration and yeop chagi kick poomsae movement technique; (ii) there is a relationship between concentration and yeop chagi kick Poomsae movement technique; and (iii) there is a relationship between Concentration and Balance with yeop chagi kick poomsae movement technique. But in this study only involved one factor of physical condition and psychology, for further research will involve other physical condition factors namely speed, flexibility, endurance, and related in this study by the characteristics of taekwondo achievement, especially in poomsae numbers at the State University of Jakarta.
This paper describes the surge in single-use plastic use, waste generation and related consequences amid the pandemic in Bangladesh. 14,500 tons of dangerous plastic waste was collected in the very first month of official lockdown in Bangladesh, which was almost twice that of collected before pandemic (~7250 tons per month). COVID-19 related medical waste in Bangladesh is haphazardly thrown away, much of which carries the coronavirus. Individual choices during lockdowns are also increasing plastic demand. Packaged take-out meals and home delivered groceries contributed 40% of plastic waste. Crucially, the virus can remain active on plastic surfaces for two to three days. However, it only infectious for up to 24 hours on cardboard or paper. From these findings it can be extrapolated that paper bags could be a better alternative for plastic bags, not only due to the short lifetime of the virus but also because paper bags are more environmentally friendly. Finally, we made some recommendations on how to reduce the use of single-use plastic, and recent status of biodegradable plastic items manufacturing industries in Bangladesh.
