Understanding, communicating and problem-solving skills are the most important parts of Mathematics Skills. Most studies on these concepts state that there is a gap among students in story questions. This study aims to describe students' mathematical abilities through drawing strategies. The research method employed a quasi-type of experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The sample of this study was 64 students consisting of 30 experimental classes and 34 control classes. The data obtained were analyzed by Independent Sample t-test. The results indicate that there are significant differences in learning outcomes before and after implementing the drawing strategy to the experimental class and control class.
The Covid-19 pandemic which began to spread at the end of 2019 had an impact on many aspects of life. Educational institutions are faced with new challenges that force leaders to change and take strategic steps, including in managing the university brand. This study focuses on two things, namely the branding strategy that is implemented before and during the pandemic. Using a qualitative approach, this study resulted in two discussions, namely: 1) the branding strategy implemented at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang before the pandemic began with an analysis of the segments to be served, gradually UIN Malang determined the national, regional and international levels. Then proceed with building campus positioning, strengthening differentiation and communicating well to stakeholders. 2). The university's branding strategy during the pandemic begins by analyzing the needs of primary stakeholders (students) and the urgent matters that should be given to them. Trying to communicate the positioning of the campus, the university values that must be conveyed to students, strengthen and be more creative in creating differentiation, especially in the digital field. Doing creative digital promotions. Offers convenience, modern and attractive digitization, but remains strong in the university's positioning.
The high number of students with learning disability in Banyuwangi Regency requires teachers to implement appropriate strategies in the learning process. Learning disability can be interpreted as a condition in the learning process which characterized by obstacles that are realized or not by people who experience in psychological, sociological, or physiological in the whole learning process that interfere the listening, speaking, reading, writing, and counting. The purposes of this study are: (1) Determine the application of teacher strategies who have learning disability in SDN 3 Karangrejo Banyuwangi. (2) Understand the factors support and inhibit teacher strategies in helping students’disability. The method applied is a descriptive qualitative approach. The results showed that, (1) The strategies implemented by teachers are applying cooperative learning models so that students who have learning disability can work together with other students, implementing classes with a pull out system which means students who have learning disability can learn with the teacher at a certain time by using several learning media (2) Supporting factors of teacher strategies are supported by parents and the existence of private tutor. While the factors inhibiting are students' mood swings and inadequate school facilities.
Speaking skills are the ability of someone to say articulation sounds or words that have meaning to convey ideas, thoughts and ideas. The research objectives are (1) knowing student responses to Scrapbook media in thematic learning; (2) find the effect of Scrapbook media on student speaking skills. The research approach is quantitative with experimental type. The design of this study is non-equivalent control group design with population of all students grade V MI Nasyrul Ulum Bocek Malang and the number of students in the sample of each class (control and experiment class) is 30. The research instrument used questionnaire and observation sheet. The data obtained were analyzed by Independent Sample t-test. From the results responses showed there were 76% good and correct speaking skills. From the t-test results of speaking skills with the Equeval variance not assumed is 3.980 with a probability of 0.00 and the probability value 0.00 <0.05 then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Based on the results of the calculation, there is a significant increase in the experimental class from pre-test value 26.66% increased to 76.66% in the post-test value. For the control class, pre-test value 20% becomes 30% in the post-test value. In conclusion, Scrapbook media has a significant effect on student speaking skills.
The implementation of the National Assessment which includes the Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM), Character Survey, and Learning Environment Survey is considered a challenge for both teachers and schools/madrasahs. Therefore, it is necessary to train teachers to prepare themselves for the implementation of this new assessment system. This community service aims to provide training for madrasah teachers regarding creating the questions. The 50 participants of the activity were teachers from Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) who were members of the Group of Teachers of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (KKG MI) Kepanjen District. This program carried out face-to-face while still applying health protocols. The results of this program show that understanding the AKMI concept and preparing questions requires intensive assistance and a long period of time. Because it is improving teachers’ skills, each participant can do individual coaching with the presenter
