Los significados constituyen el eje central en la práctica docente debido a que estos orientan la labor de quienes la ejercen. El presente texto es producto de un trabajo de investigación realizado durante varios años con profesores de educación primaria en el estado de Jalisco-México. En este documento se presentan algunos hallazgos de la investigación con apoyo en la presentación de uno de los casos de estudio donde se abordan los significados desde la práctica de una maestra con diez años de experiencia en el nivel de educación básica. Específicamente, se analizaron los significados desde los conceptos de profesor y su rol en la escuela y los elementos que interviene en la práctica docente incluyendo la educación, enseñanza, y el aprendizaje. La naturaleza de la investigación es de carácter descriptivo y cualitativo, lo datos se recolectaron aplicando la entrevista a profundidad, entrevista abierta y la observación, se realizaron tres registros de observación. Las entrevistas fueron analizadas mediante la técnica de análisis fenomenológico. Como producto del estudio se pudo teorizar que los maestros construyen significados en base a la experiencia adquirida en su práctica docente, estos significados nacen de sus creencias y saberes determinados sobre, entre otros, la educación y relación educación y sociedad.
Este escrito hace un balance del ejercicio de la práctica docente en la sierra Tarahumara de Chihuahua, México. Destaca los avatares que los actores (padres de familia, maestros y directores) viven en la práctica educativa cotidiana. Es un diagnóstico que escudriña, desde los significados construidos por ellos, las condiciones en que actualmente trabaja el magisterio de educación indígena en el contexto étnico de la entidad, específicamente en la educación de niños tarahumaras de educación básica. Identifica los desafíos y las condiciones críticas en que se desarrolla la labor pedagógica en estas regiones, para lo cual, en el lapso del 2013 al 2014, a nivel estatal se aplicaron 294 cuestionarios a maestros o directores de educación indígena y 16 entrevistas en profundidad.
Es miembro del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores Mexicano, distinción que otorga el país a los investigadores de alto nivel.
RESUMENLa ciencia, tecnología e innovación tienen una función estratégica en el crecimiento económico, la competitividad y el desarrollo integral de los países. En el presente estudio se analiza la imagen que las jóvenes de educación media y media superior de la Zona Metropolitana de Guadalajara, Jalisco, tienen de la ciencia, tecnología e innovación, la imagen del científico, de las materias de ciencia y la apropiación de la misma a través de los diversos medios de comunicación, para promover y fortalecer en los jóvenes una cultura científica y de innovación. El método que se aplicó es cuantitativo, exploratorio y transversal, se utilizó el cuestionario desarrollado en el marco del Observatorio de Ciencia, Tecnología y Sociedad del Centro de Altos Estudios Universitarios de la Organización de Estados Iberoamericanos (OEI), aplicando 1,200 casos a estudiantes de instituciones públicas y privadas de educación media y media superior de la Zona Metropolitana de Guadalajara, Para evitar sesgos en la información, se buscó tener unas muestras representativas equilibradas por sexo, sin embargo encontramos ligeramente más participación de la mujer en relación al varón, esto coincide con el aumento de la matrícula por parte de las mujeres en Latinoamérica, teniendo como resultados preliminares que matemáticas es la asignatura que presenta mayor interés, pero al mismo tiempo mayor dificultad entre los alumnos encuestados. En cuanto a la profesión que desean elegir para su futuro, se pudo advertir que siguen siendo las tradicionales (derecho, administración y contaduría); en el escenario profesional para los jóvenes, la del investigador (a) o científico (a) está en tercer lugar de su preferencia. Resumen: El presente documento tiene como propósito presentar resultados parciales de una investigación en torno al proceso histórico mediante el cual se logra construir la formación profesional de docentes indígenas wixaritari. Se acudió a la literatura del tema para ubicar la pertinencia de la investigación. El aporte teórico y metodológico consideró la teoría fenomenológica y abordó el estudio desde lo sociológico. Para caracterizar a los sujetos de estudio se aportaron datos relacionados con el contexto sociocultural del pueblo wixárika. Los resultados cuestionan el papel que ha tenido el Sistema Educativo Nacional en México, particularmente por sus políticas públicas que excluyen a sectores sociales minoritarios, entre ellos los indígenas. Se observa la imposición de la cultura nacional en la formación del docente indígena wixárika, así como en los materiales educativos que se le proporcionan (programas y libros de texto gratuitos). En las conclusiones se ofrecen algunas propuestas para la formación del docente wixaritari, dirigidas a lograr una formación profesional que atienda los requerimientos de la educación intercultural para las comunidades wixaritari, con base en el respeto de sus usos y tradiciones, a partir de lo que los sujetos plantean frente al desafío de la inclusión en el desarrollo global.
