Abstract:Since always, the public's favorite stories are propagated beyond the limits of their original enunciation. But communication practices are changing. One of the most radical changes has happened in the relationship between media producers and consumers. Although the public has never been entirely passive in the reception of narratives, with the democratization of web-connected digital media and creative technologies, it has conquered a more active role, becoming also an agent for story propagation. The public today can interact more actively in the stories, contribute with its own interpretations and appropriations or even participate in the creation of original stories. The current paper aims, thus, at reflecting on the new participatory possibilities offered by digital and creative technologies, through the analysis of some particularly enlightening practical cases.
