Characterization and qualification of diclofenac sodium as a secondary standardABSTRACT. This paper aimed to characterize and qualify a secondary standard of diclofenac sodium as a reference standard in the quality control of medicines. The identity of the candidate was confirmed through infrared spectroscopy and the content (99.63%) determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) by comparing with the compendial primary standard. The quality of the secondary standard was also supported by redox titration in non-aqueous media, related substances and UV spectrum by HPLC.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
