K r a m a r i i 6 ein Produkt aus T r i t y lchlorid und P y r i d i n l ) , das wir als ein N -T r i t y l -p p r i d i n i u m c h l o r i d auffaaten; ich betonte dabei seine Identitat mit einer von B. Helferich und Bfitarbeitern aus Tritylchlorid, Pyridin und Wasser gewonnenen Substanz 2), die jedoch von den letztgenannten Autoren in der angezogenen Arbeit anders gedeutet wurde. Wir bedauern sehr, ubersehen zu haben, da13 Hr. Helferich in einer spateren Notiz seine Ansicht revidiert und, dem fraglichen Produkt die Formel (C,H,)$. OH, C,H,N, HC1 zuerkannt hatte3). Hr. Helf e r i c h machte uns brieflich in freundlichster Weise hierauf, sowie auch auf den Umstand aufmerksam, daW, obwohl kein Zweifel an der Identitat der beiden Korper bestiinde, er dennoch a d seiner Formel, die sich von der unseren durch einen Mehrgehalt von I Mol. Wasser unterscheidet, bestehen miisse : denn die Bildung der Verbindung erfolge bei vollkommenem Ausschld von Wasser nicht, und die Werte der Elementaranalyse sprachen fur die wasser-haltige Substanz.
