Turkey hen breeder rations were supplemented with three levels of ascorbic acid (0,83 and 330 p.p.m.) during hot weather in the latter part of the laying period. The highest level of ascorbic acid prevented a depression in blood ascorbic acid level during heat stress but did not improve egg production or egg shell quality.
