AbstractIn this study, cathodic polarization curves for ASTM A-36 steel was developed in geothermic fluid, using rotating electrode disc at different spin velocities, to characterize it kinetic mechanism.Typical curves for diffusional control process were obtained and Levich relation for the system was carry out. Develop the experiment at different temperatures and higher fluid velocities, but using cylinder electrode is recommended.
AbstractThe main objective of this investigation was to study pitting corrosion on aluminum pots by microscopic characterization and their electrochemical behavior in a specific job solution
AbstractThree commercial magnesium alloys for galvanic anodes were characterized by chemical analysis, electrochemical testing and microscopy inspection.Electrochemical evaluation was carry out by galvanostatic testing to know dissolution metal lost. Their open and close circuit potentials were recorded. Microscopic examination (optic and scanning electron) for testing material and their corrosion products was done. Drain current capacity and efficiency for each alloy were obtained. A list of tests to evaluate performance of these kind of material was proposed.Testing zinc and aluminum alloys for galvanic systems is recommended to develop methodologies and criteria for their quality control.
