Esse estudo teve como objetivo investigar a associação de sintomas psicopatológicos entre crianças e cuidadores. Este é um estudo quantitativo e transversal. Para a avaliação, utilizou-se o Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL/6-18) e o Adult Self-Report (ASR), inventários que avaliam aspectos clínicos e de funcionamento da criança e dos responsáveis, respectivamente. Participaram 70 adultos que preencheram ambos inventários. Os dados foram analisados no programa Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), versão 24.0. Os sintomas avaliados basearam-se nas variáveis dos inventários. Os resultados apresentam correlação positiva entre as sintomatologias ansiedade/depressão, isolamento/depressão, problemas somáticos, problemas internalizantes, problemas externalizantes e total de problemas entre responsáveis e crianças. Houve discrepância na classificação dos escores entre adultos e crianças nas variáveis ansiedade/depressão e total de problemas. Percebe-se que houve correlação positiva entre a presença de sintomatologia psicopatológica dos cuidadores e a existência dos mesmos sintomas nas crianças. Esses achados vão ao encontro de estudos que apontam a importância de estudar o componente familiar como fator de risco para o desenvolvimento de sintomas de transtornos mentais na infância. Frente a isso, torna-se necessário considerar os fatores de proteção e risco ao avaliar e planejar o tratamento para o público infanto-juvenil. O uso da Entrevista Motivacional (EM) pode auxiliar o paciente na ativação das suas metas, configurando-se como um modo de comunicação eficaz para mudanças no estilo de vida. Entretanto, é necessário que o profissional esteja capacitado para a aplicação dos princípios da EM, a fim de ser uma prática efetiva. O objetivo deste estudo foi refletir sobre a importância e avaliar o nível de conhecimento e a aplicação das habilidades fundamentais da Entrevista Motivacional numa amostra de 120 estudantes da área da saúde, após um treinamento em EM. Foi verificado o grau de Confiança e de Importância em utilizar essas habilidades na prática profissional dos participantes. Encontrou-se que quanto maior o grau de confiança em EM, maior é o percentual de perguntas consistentes com os fundamentos da EM e maior chance de acertos na EM. Os achados mostram a relevância do treinamento de Entrevista Motivacional nos cursos da área da saúde, pois potencializam a confiança dos alunos ao trabalharem com os pacientes sobre mudanças de comportamento e qualificam a formação do profissional da área da saúde.
A qualidade da educação relaciona-se com o investimento na aprendizagem acadêmica e com o desenvolvimento socioemocional dos alunos. Esse artigo objetiva avaliar os efeitos do protocolo preventivo da Terapia de Regulação Infantil (TRI-P) nas habilidades socioemocionais de crianças. A TRI-P tem como propósito desenvolver competências emocionais e sociais nas escolas. Utilizou-se delineamento quasi-experimental com avaliação pré e pós teste. Participaram 28 crianças de sete a nove anos, estudantes de uma escola particular no interior do Rio Grande do Sul. Aplicou-se as escalas Social Skills Rating System para a avaliação de habilidades sociais e comportamentos problemáticos e Emotional Regulation Checklist para avaliar regulação e labilidade emocional. Os resultados, após intervenção, apontam diminuição nos níveis de problema de comportamento e aumento nos escores de regulação emocional e habilidades sociais. Percebe-se que a implementação de programas de habilidades socioemocionais pode ser promissora frente à importância do cuidado com saúde mental no ambiente escolar.
Esse estudo objetivou avaliar os efeitos do Trabalho de Regulação Infantil nas competências socioemocionais e problemas de comportamento, assim como nos escores da sintomatologia ansiosa e depressiva em crianças com idade entre 7 e 9 anos. Trata-se de um estudo quasi-experimental, em que comparou-se o grupo experimental com o grupo do tipo lista de espera antes e após a intervenção no ambiente escolar. Os responsáveis preencheram o Social Skills Rating System e a Emotional Regulation Checklist. As crianças preencheram a Social Skills Rating System, Screen for Child Anxiety Related Emotional Disorders e Children Depression Inventory. Foram identificados resultados significativos no aumento das habilidades sociais e regulação emocional, assim como diminuição nos escores de problemas de comportamento e nos sintomas de ansiedade e depressão, no grupo experimental. A diferença entre grupos ocorreu apenas nos níveis de habilidades sociais e regulação emocional. Diante dos resultados, conclui-se que o Trabalho de Regulação Infantil pode ser uma proposta de prevenção de problemas emocionais e de comportamento na escola.
