A partir del año 1987 surgen estándares e indicadores internacionales aceptados y asumidos por la mayoría de los países que impulsan a organizaciones en general a adherirse en busca de un objetivo común, tal es el caso de la sostenibilidad: social, económica y ambiental. En tal sentido, la presente investigación tiene por objetivo generar un conjunto de categorías y subcategorías para el análisis del comportamiento de la sostenibilidad empresarial ante el reto que implica el cumplimiento de los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible. Está sustentada en el enfoque cualitativo, con un diseño documental. La recopilación y análisis de la data partió de un muestreo teórico y el método de comparación constante, siendo la unidad de análisis, las fuentes de suministros-recolección de los distintos tipos de medios textuales de investigadores en el área y de organismos multilaterales. Para establecer relaciones o tendencias provenientes del análisis de la revisión documental se utilizó el soporte informático de la herramienta QDA Miner. Para la interpretación de la data se aplicó la técnica del análisis nomotético. Los resultados muestran para la sostenibilidad social cinco categorías y trece subcategorías, para la sostenibilidad económica siete categorías y dieciséis subcategorías y para la sostenibilidad ambiental seis categorías y catorce subcategorías; para un conjunto de dieciocho categorías y cuarenta y tres subcategorías.
La investigación analiza el enfoque de la política fiscal en Venezuela para el período 2000-2016, determinando la efectividad de la misma en cuanto al manejo del déficit fiscal, base impositiva e ingreso fiscal, con base a datos publicados por el BCV (Banco Central de Venezuela) (2016) y ONAPRE (Oficina Nacional de Presupuesto) (2016). El estudio se basa en la teoría de la Curva de Laffer(1986). La investigación es analítica con un diseñodocumental. Los resultados corroboran queel aumento de la base impositiva acrecienta el déficit fiscal, y disminuye el ingreso fiscal en términos reales.
