Objetivo: identificar o nível de conhecimento sobre parto humanizado dos profissionais de enfermagem que atuam no centro obstétrico de um hospital de médio porte no interior do estado do Maranhão. Metodologia: estudo transversal, descritivo com uma abordagem quantitativa, sendo utilizado um questionário que aborda dados sociodemográficos e o conhecimento do enfermeiro acerca do parto humanizado, contendo o total de 24 questões distribuídas em 3 seções: sendo a primeira constituída por 8 questões que caracterizam a amostra; a segunda corresponde a uma escala de 12 afirmações constituídas de Verdadeiro/Falso, a fim de se avaliar o conhecimento dos profissionais sobre a humanização do parto e a terceira constituída de 4 afirmações do tipo Verdadeiro/Falso, a fim de se avaliar o conhecimento dos profissionais referente à política de humanização. Resultados: A amostra foi constituída por 10 enfermeiros e 20 técnicos de enfermagem. De acordo com a análise dos dados cerca de 2 (6,67%) dos enfermeiros possuem pós-graduação em obstetrícia; cerca de 20 (66,67%) dos profissionais não receberam treinamento sobre parto humanizado; e apenas 5 (17%) dos profissionais receberam treinamento sobre parto humanizado oferecido pela instituição. Com relação à pontuação da avaliação do conhecimento, os profissionais obtiveram um bom desempenho, 11 (37%) atingiram a pontuação 13 e 6 (20%) alcançaram 12 pontos mostrando um conhecimento relevante sobre parto humanizado. Conclusão: A equipe demonstrou conhecimento acerca do parto humanizado, porém ainda há necessidade de investimento em educação permanente, pois nossos resultados sugerem que os profissionais ainda têm dúvidas em algumas questões sobre o parto humanizado.
Objetivo: Relatar um caso de Síndrome da Displasia Septo-óptica (DSO), uma desordem congênita que se enquadra nas malformações cerebrais da linha média, sendo sua incidência considerada rara em todo o mundo. Detalhamento de caso: Uma paciente do sexo feminino, 1 mês e 10 dias de idade, foi levada para consulta pediátrica em cidade do sul de Minas Gerais - Brasil, com queixa de movimentos oculares excessivos. Ao exame, a lactente apresentou nistagmo vertical, sem outras alterações nos demais sistemas. À tomografia computadorizada de crânio, não foi possível visualizar claramente o corpo caloso e a foice inter-hemisférica. Após avaliação oftalmológica, constatou-se reflexo pupilar reduzido no olho direito, com reflexo consensual presente; além de visão subnormal, nistagmo vertical, córnea transparente e hipoplasia de nervo óptico bilateral. Posteriormente, a ressonância magnética evidenciou hipoplasia do nervo óptico direito e achados compatíveis com agenesia do septo pelúcido. Mediante os achados imaginológicos e clínicos foi confirmado o diagnóstico de DSO e as medidas terapêuticas, agora direcionadas ao manejo correto da síndrome, foram instituídas. Considerações finais: Este caso demonstra uma apresentação clínica relevante da Síndrome da Displasia Septo-óptica na infância, uma patologia neuropediátrica rara que ainda carece de referencial teórico na literatura.
Este artigo tem como proposta descrever e analisar o conhecimento dos acadêmicos dos cursos da saúde acerca da vacinação. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo e analítico, transversal, realizado com os acadêmicos dos cursos da saúde de uma universidade pública. Os dados foram obtidos através de questionários com perguntas sobre as características demográficas, acadêmicas e relacionadas ao tema vacinação. Os dados foram trabalhados no programa estatístico Stata 16. Participaram desta pesquisa 113 estudantes, sendo maioria dos entrevistados do gênero feminino, com idade na faixa etária entre 18 a 23 anos, vinculados ao curso da Enfermagem, e que se encontrava no terceiro ano de curso. Foi apontado baixo conhecimento dos acadêmicos, com associação negativa às variáveis faixa etária, curso e anos cursados. É importante salientar o papel da universidade na formação dos profissionais de saúde, pois os mesmos carecem de conhecimento ao longo da formação acadêmica acerca do tema vacinação.
