Without a doubt, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a tremendous impact on global tourism for at least two reasons: (1) imposed systematic travel restrictions that discourage people from traveling even though they would like to; and (2) increased travel anxiety due to the perceived risk of the COVID-19 virus, causing people to change their typical travel behavior. This study aims to explore the role of Covid-19 in shaping future travel behavior. More specifically, following the general model of vacation behavior and the role of risk in travel behavior, we investigate how COVID-19 influences travelers’ perceptions of risk and how this affects planned vacation behavior. The results show that COVID-19 risk perception per se influences typical forms of vacation behavior, but this risk also leads to the development of travel anxiety, which additionally influences only some forms of vacation behavior. Empirical findings show that general anxiety, which is not associated with Covid-19 risk perception, also predicts some forms of planned changes in vacation behaviour. The study concludes with recommendations on how to reduce traveler uncertainty in order to recover international leisure travel.

The Sokobanja basin is an area in Eastern Serbia with diverse geological and geomorphological features. Also, it is an area with developed spa tourism. The Sokobanja basin has numerous geoheritage features, which tourist potential has not been discovered yet. In this article, several geosites were analyzed, which present significant geoheritage formations. Geosites were selected by authors of this article based on the degree of their attractiveness for the geotourism development. The main goal of this article is to emphasize the geotourism potential of the Sokobanja basin and to determine the current state and geotourism potential of evaluated geosites by applying the modified geosite assessment model (M-GAM). A total of seven geosites were evaluated throughout the basin. The values of the investigated parameters were entered into the matrix of the M-GAM based on the number of points. Based on the research and the results obtained, it can be concluded that the Sokobanja basin has the potential for the development of geotourism, but it is necessary to improve additional values to become a true geotourism destination.

The process of aging leads to changes in functional abilities, fitness levels, level of physical activity, and body mass index (BMI), all of which causes changes in the quality of life. The current study aims to determine the association between the level of physical activity (PA) and BMI, and quality of life (QoL) among elderly women. The total sample numbered 156 women, with an average age of 67.7 ± 5.6 years. To determine the level of physical activity, the self-reported International Physical Activity Questionnaire Long Form (IPAQ-LF), was used. To calculate the values of the BMI, the standard procedure recommended by the World Health Organization was used. Quality of life was evaluated using the short form of the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire designed by the World Health Organization. All the data were processed using the statistical package for data analysis SPSS 20.0. Pearson’s correlation analysis shows statistically significant relations at the level of p < 0.01 between PA and Physical health in Housework = 0.36, Leisure time PA = 0.27, Walking = 0.24, Moderate PA 0.43, Total PA = 0.43, while the correlations between the variables at the significance level of p < 0.05 were determined in PA in transportation = 0.19 and High-intensity PA = 0.16. Multiple linear regression analysis of different levels of PA as independent variables on individual domains of QoL shows that there is an association of PA and Physical health (Sig = 0.000), more precisely, Total PA is statistically the most closely related to Physical health (Sig = 0.000), and then follows PA at work and Social relations (Sig = 0.036). Similar results were obtained when BMI is added to model A. In contrast to model A, model B shows a statistically significant association between PA and BMI with the environmental domain of QoL (Sig = 0.001). The results of the current study indicate that high- and moderate-intensity physical activity both have benefits for physical health, whereas moderate PA showed higher significance levels. Results also show that elderly women with higher BMI values achieve better results in the environmental domain of QoL.

Socio-ekonomski razvoj ove teritorije uslovio je povećanje broja stanovnika. Dok je gradski centar demografski jačao, urbani periferni delovi opštine su stagnirali ili veoma malo uvećavali svoj demografski saldo. Uporedo sa porastom broja stanovnika odvijao se proces povećanja broja domaćinstava koja su imala sve manji broj članova. Starenje stanovništva je poseban problem koji u velikoj meri utiče na privredni razvoj. Tokom poslednje decenije XX veka ovaj kraj je prošao kroz fazu tranzicije, kada je ugašen veliki broj industrijskih giganata. Kao posledica javile su se promene ekonomske strukture stanovništva.Ključne reči: demografske promene, Grad Niš, starenje stanovništva. UvodDemografske promene u Srbiji tokom druge polovine XX i na početku XXI veka dovele su do negativnog trenda razvoja. Negativnim promenama izloženi su svi delovi Srbije. Statistički podaci ukazuju da su promene najizrazitije na prostoru istočne i južne Srbije. Dosadašnji trend promena pokazao je da se broj stanovnika smanjuje, menja se starosna struktura i obrazac porodice i domaćinstava. U pogledu promena naročito je karakteristična starosna struktura. Istočna i južna Srbija su, prema ovom pokazatelju, najstarije u Srbiji i prema podacima popisa iz 2011. godine čak 25% od ukupnog stanovništva je starije od 60 godina.Grad Niš je, kao regionalni centar istočne i južne Srbije, tokom pomenutog perioda takoĎe bio zavhaćen negativnim promenama. Rezultati prethodnih istraživanja ovog prostora pokazala su da su gotovo sve demografske strukture promenjene. Društveno-ekonomski razvoj, tokom druge polovine XX i na početku XXI veka, na teritoriji grada Niša uslovio je formiranje odreĎenih funkcija koje su se reflektovale na ukupnu demografsku i regionalnu strukturu datog prostora. U geoprostoru Niša, u periodu sekundarne urbanizacije, došlo je do koncentracije stanovništva i funkcija. U mreži naselja posmatrane teritorije, Niš se tokom ovog perioda izdvojio kao: centar u prostornoj organizaciji proizvodnje, organizacije, razmene i pružanja usluga, s jedne strane, i organizacije društveno-ekonomskog života stanovništva u mreži naselja, sa druge strane;  kao centar u kome su koncentrisane privredne i vanprivredne funkcije, pa se grad svojim funkcionalnim kapacitetom pojavljuje kao faktor ukupne organizacije prostora i stanovništva. Prema tome, Niš se izdvojio kao jezgro društveno-ekonomskog razvoja. Ovakav prostorno-funkcionalni razvoj doveo je do promena u svim demografskim strukturama teritorije grada. Naselja u neposrednom okruženju gube svoj funkcionalni kapacitet i stagniraju u svim elemntima razvoja (demografskom, ekonomskom, itd.).

The aim of the research was to determine the correlation of morphological characteristics and fitness parameters of overweight and obese boys aged seven. The sample of participants consisted of 198 pupils (boys) aged seven years, from elementary schools from the territory of the city of Niš, Paraćin, Bela Palanka, Leskovac and others, classified as a category with increased body mass or obesity. Morphological characteristics were determined by measuring parameters of longitudinal (3), transversal, (3) circular dimensions (3) and body mass and measurement of subcutaneous fat tissue (3). For the assessment of muscular fitness, body composition and cardiorespiratory fitness, the following tests were used: the plyometric leap, precancer-turn-off, percentage of body fat and Body Mass Index (BMI); a shuttle run test based on the calculated VO2max (L) and VO2max (ml/kg/min) values. A canonical correlation analysis was used to determine the correlation between morphological characteristics and fitness parameters. The level of statistical significance was set at .05. The results of the study showed that there is a statistically significant association (p˂.01) between morphological characteristics and fitness parameters in overweight and obese boys aged seven. Participants who have higher values of voluminosity and body width have higher values of fat percentage in the body as well as BMI. Smaller explosive power was found in participants with higher values of skin folds. It has been determined that body mass and voluminosity positively affects the strength of the arm and shoulders, that is, they adversely affect the VO2max values.
