The paper proposes the use of green IT as a tool for designing a cloud-oriented sustainable learning environment for a higher education institution. The article substantiates the expediency of designing such an environment as a prerequisite for the sustainable development of Ukraine. It is established that one of the goals of Ukraine’s sustainable development for 2030 is to provide fair quality education and to promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. Green IT is a set of approaches related to sustainable computing and information technology. The work of foreign scientists was analyzed, which considered the issues of designing the learning environment using green computing. As a result, Cloud LMS has been established that cloud LMS is a type of green IT and can serve as a tool for designing a cloud-oriented sustainable learning environment of a higher education institution. A model of a cloud-oriented sustainable learning environment of a higher education institution using cloud LMS is proposed. The application of a cloud-oriented sustainable learning environment will provide such capabilities: keep electronic journals; use on-line services; conduct correspondence, assessment of knowledge on-line; and more. And all of the above is the key to a sustainable development of the learning environment.
During the period of total lockdown caused by COVID-19 pandemic, teachers had to move to distance learning to organize a continuous educational process, which is not possible without the active use of modern information and communication technologies, including cloud services. Because of this, at the beginning of the pandemic, Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University conducted several free distance online courses for teachers, which included studying the possibilities of using cloud technologies in teaching in a pandemic. Somewhat later, some secondary schools in Zhytomyr expressed a desire to take the same courses, but in person. 98 teachers of schools of the city of Zhytomyr were covered by training on courses ``Cloud technologies in the educational process in the conditions of quarantine''. After face-to-face courses, teachers in Zhytomyr schools have significantly increased their competence in the use of cloud technologies in the educational process in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Not only has their level increased in general, but the horizons regarding the variety of cloud services that should be used in distance learning have expanded. Course training, organized according to scientifically sound methods, helps to increase the motivation of students (teachers) to self-study, as well as to the future use of cloud technologies in the educational process.
The article highlights possibilities of ICT in the implementation of the “flipped learning” technology in the professional training of future mathe- matics teachers. Flipped learning technology has been analyzed as a mixed learning model that has a different look at the organization of the educational process. The model of realization of “flipped learning” using ICT while study- ing the topic “Functions” in the course “Elementary mathematics” is developed. Given examples of the use of interactive learning technologies based on the use of modern information and communication technologies, including cloud and mobile. The lesson scheme of training on the technology “flipped learning” is described in detail using the system of Moodle, a shared virtual board, the use of QR codes during interactive technology “Bingo”. The peculiarities of using the Mentimeter online resource to conduct student surveys during reflection are disclosed. The results of student survey are analyzed and presented regarding the expediency of using this technology in future professional activity. It is es- tablished that the use of innovative teaching technologies in the process of professional training of future mathematics teachers contributes to the students’ awareness of the need to create and use of educational areas, which should be- come a powerful tool for students to develop critical thinking, self-disclosure of creative abilities, research skills, self-knowledge.
