O presente artigo discute a educação em um contexto do Ensino Superior. Delimita-se a pensar sobre as formas de ensino e aprendizagem, os desafios e os contextos já vividos ou que podem ser vivenciados a partir de novas posturas assumidas ao fazer docente. Para além disso, apresenta reflexões acerca de um ensino tradicional com foco nas potencialidades que podem ser desenvolvidas a partir de metodologias ativas e pelo exercício da lei no que tange a curricularização da extensão. Para tratar desta, apresenta ações documentadas das Faculdades Integradas Machado de Assis, da Instituição de Ensino FEMA, Santa Rosa/RS. O objetivo deste texto é contribuir para com o contexto da educação no que se refere ao Ensino Superior. Estudo é de cunho teórico-reflexivo fundamentado por autores que abordam as ideias a partir de alguns traços teóricos ancorados em Carr W. e Kemmis, Gadotti, Fiorentini, dentre outros. A escrita do artigo justifica-se pela relevância do tema e por estudos realizados nesta área de conhecimento. Percebe-se, em análise, as possibilidades de potencializar o desenvolvimento humano a partir de novas contextos de ensino e aprendizagem, para além do que a educação tradicional realiza. Aponta-se a necessidade de aliar teoria e prática, refletir sobre o fazer docente, buscar estratégias para contribuir com o processo de aprendizagem e investir na curricularização da extensão.
As metodologias ativas de ensino e aprendizagem rompem com o modelo tradicional de ensino e fundamentam-se na problematização, onde o estudante é estimulado a uma postura ativa em seu processo de aprender, buscando a autonomia e a aprendizagem significativa. O estudo teve como tema a EAC – Experiência de Aprendizagem Combinada no processo de ensino e aprendizagem de razões especiais, utilizando o Lego e a robótica como recursos, com turmas do Ensino Fundamental em uma Instituição de Educação Básica localizada no noroeste Gaúcho. O método de abordagem foi qualitativo com enfoque teórico-crítico. Objetivou-se verificar as possíveis contribuições da utilização do Lego aliando a robótica no processo de ensino e aprendizagem de razões especiais, como velocidade e aceleração. Este estudo se justifica pela incessante busca de trazer para a sala de aula métodos que viabilizem o protagonismo do estudante. A utilização de metodologias ativas para o planejamento e dinamização de uma aula, mostrando ideias para as mais diversas áreas do conhecimento, e neste caso, especificamente, Matemática. Estudo também é de cunho teórico-reflexivo fundamentado por autores que abordam as ideias a partir de alguns traços teóricos ancorados nas temáticas de metodologias ativas para o processo de ensino e aprendizagem como Filatro (2018), Moran (2018), experiência de aprendizagem combinada e Lego, Feitosa (2013) e Santos (2021) e conhecimentos pertinentes a formação de professores com Mishra e Koehler (2006) e Cibotto e Oliveira (2013). Dentre os resultados observam-se o engajamento dos estudantes na atividade, o protagonismo e trabalho em equipe que permearam o estudo, além da potencialidade do recurso utilizado, pois problematiza uma situação real trazendo aplicabilidade de conceitos matemáticos.
