Quelques-uns des principaux types d'amphores présents en Cisalpine et sur la façade médio-adriatique de l'Italie (Dr. 6 A et B ; 2-4 ; amphores à fond plat ; à « col en entonnoir ») sont examinés ici pour donner un état de la question sur leur présence et leur diffusion, leur contenu, leur aire de production géographique. Un groupe d'amphores estampillées au nom de Q. Ninnius Secundus est étudié plus en détail. Cet examen amène à reconsidérer en partie le rôle de ces régions dans l'évolution économique de l'Italie au cours des deux premiers siècles de l'Empire.
