Analysis of evapotranspiration by Morlet wavelet in area of Vochysia divergens Pohl in Pantanal A B S T R A C TThe temporal-spatial variation of evapotranspiration was analysed using Morlet wavelet in a forest of Vochysia divergens Pohl (locally known as Cambarazal) in Pantanal wetland in Mato Grosso state, Brazil. This area is inserted within the physiographic plain of the Pantanal and is seasonally flooded. The net radiation, solar global radiation, air temperature, and relative humidity data were collected by sensors installed in a micrometeorological tower. The daily analysis of time series by Morlet wavelet for evapotranspiration was satisfactory enabling better understanding of the dynamics of evapotranspiration in wetland and its relation to the air temperature, relative humidity, and solar radiation. It is concluded that during the wet season the highest values of evapotranspiration and higher intensity in the high frequency occured probably due to increased availability of water as a function of rainfall and flooding, and solar radiation. Thus, this study made a descriptive analysis using the monthly series of Fourier and Wavelet transform of the variable air temperature at four points of the study, three urban and one rural area, for the year 2007. For the variable air temperature it was found that the energy intensity in the high frequency was 24 and significant powers over the whole year was verified, in time scales from 2 to 32 days for the four studied points, whose variance is more pronounced at the center of urban area.
Among these Biomes, data from the Pantanal Acurizal, from the north of Mato Grosso and the urban area of Cuiabá, of high constructive density were used. Thus, for the present study, the objective was to analyze the air temperature variable, using the Wavelets Coherence technique, in two study areas (Pantanal and Urbana). Among the methodological processes, the Wavelets de Morlet was applied to verify the periodicity and energy spectra, as well as the Wavelets Coherence analysis, to verify the signal analysis and coherence between the study areas, for the Dry and humid seasons. As a result, it was observed that there was a higher periodicity and energy spectrum of the air temperature variable in the urban area, for the two seasons, however, there was a correlation in the signal analysis between the study areas. Keywords: Wavelet de Morlet. Abstract This article aims to evaluate the data capacity created by a sensor named Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER)/Terra, in the phytophysiognomies description of Amanã Sustainable Development Reserve (RDSA). The ASTER data analyzed include the spectral intervals of visible (0.52-0.69 μm), near-infrared (0.78-0.86 μm) and shortwave infrared (1.60 to 2:43 μm), wherein these intervals bands were applied the spectral classification techniques adapted to the data from this sensor as Spectral Angle Mapper (SAM), Mixture Tuned Matched Filtering (MTMF) plus NDVI. By SAM technique was possible to distinguish six predominant phytophysiognomies in the RDSA. By MTMF technique that involves a more robust classification algorithm, equivalent information was obtained. It was also possible to associate and detect spectral patterns of vegetation, showing the close relationship with the NDVI index. Keywords: Amanã Sustainable Development Reserve. Mapping. Vegetation.
