Objective: Observe the workfl ow of nurses in hospitalization units identifying indirect care activities/interventions; measure the frequency and average time spent in performing them; and to verify the associations between average time of the activities interventions grouped into categories and per hospitalization unit. Method: Observational exploratory study using the timed technique. It was conducted in medical, surgical and specialized clinic units of a teaching hospital in the northwest of São Paulo Brazil, with 16 attending nurses as participants. Results: 90 hours of observation were performed, of which 58% (52 hours and 10 minutes) were related to indirect care activities of the patients. The most frequent activities/interventions were: "Communication" -1,852 (44.1%), mean 34.6 (SD = 54); "Walking" -1,023 (24.3%), mean 22 (SD = 49.2); and "Documentation" -663 (15.8%), mean 82.7 (SD = 144.4). Conclusion: These fi ndings favor a redesign of the work process and foster the need to update and refi ne the current workload measurement instruments. RESUMO Objetivos:Observar o fl uxo de trabalho de enfermeiros em unidades de internação identifi cando atividades/intervenções de cuidado indireto; mensurar a frequência e o tempo médio despendido na realização das mesmas; e verifi car as associações entre o tempo médio das atividades/intervenções agrupadas em categorias e por unidade de internação. Método: Estudo exploratório observacional utilizando a técnica de tempos cronometrados. Foi conduzido em unidades de clínica médica, cirúrgica e especializada de um hospital de ensino do noroeste paulista, tendo como participantes 16 enfermeiros assistenciais. Resultados: Foram realizadas 90 horas de observação, sendo 58% (52 horas e 10 minutos) referentes às atividades de cuidado indireto ao paciente. As atividades/intervenções mais executadas constituíram-se em: "Comunicação" -1.852 (44,1%), média 34,6 (DP=54); "Deslocamento" -1.023 (24,3%), média 22 (DP=49,2); e "Documentação" -663 (15,8%), média 82,7 (DP=144,4). RESUMOOs sistemas de Prontuário Eletrônico do Paciente (PEP) tornaram-se cada vez mais atrativos para instituições de saúde que buscam unir informações clínicas e administrativas. Realizado cinco anos após a implantação do PEP no Hospital de Base em São José do Rio Preto, este estudo tem por objetivo avaliar a experiência com a nova ferramenta, a partir da análise das principais vantagens e desvantagens deste sistema segundo profissionais da saúde. Esta pesquisa incluiu 68 profissionais da saúde vinculados ao Hospital de Base, com idade entre 18 a 75 anos e que estavam envolvidos diariamente, em 2014, com a utilização do PEP. O estudo concluiu que apesar das desvantagens, da necessidade de constante aprimoramento do sistema e da importância de uma capacitação mais adequada dos profissionais para fazer uso do software, 59% dos entrevistados consideram o prontuário eletrônico mais vantajoso no trabalho dos profissionais de saúde e 65% consideram mais vantajoso para o tratamento dos pacientes.Palavras-chave: Prontuário Eletrônico do Paciente; Sistemas de informação hospitalar; Informática em saúde. ABSTRACT 44The Electronic Health Record (EHR) has become increasingly attractive for healthcare institutions seeking to join clinical and administrative information. Five years after EHR deployment in Hospital de Base in São José do Rio Preto, this study aims to evaluate the experience with the new tool, based on the analysis of the main advantages and disadvantages of this system under health professionals. This survey includes 68 health professionals linked to Hospital de Base, with 18 to 75 years and who were involved with used of EHR in 2014. The study found that despite the disadvantages, the need for constant system improvement and the importance of a better training of professionals to make use of software, 59% of respondents consider the most advantageous electronic medical records in the work of health professionals and 65% considered more advantageous for the treatment of patients.
Este estudo tem como objetivo descrever a ocorrência e caracterizar o perfil da contaminação pelo SARS-CoV-2 em profissionais de saúde na macrorregião Oeste da Bahia. Trata-se de um estudo transversal com abordagem quantitativa e descritiva, realizado através da estratégia Web Survey, no período de fevereiro a maio de 2021, com profissionais de saúde atuantes na região. Participaram do estudo 186 profissionais, de 22 categorias profissionais distintas e provenientes de 23 municípios da região. Do total de entrevistados, 63 participantes (33,9%) testaram positivo para o SARS-CoV-2, com predominância do sexo feminino (70,0%), idade entre 30-39 anos (47,6%), de enfermeiros contaminados (25,4%) e da forma leve da doença (76,2%), entretanto, 15,9% (n=10) desenvolveram sequelas e 11,1% (n=07) necessitaram de readaptações das atividades de trabalho. 40,9% dos entrevistados (n=76) relataram que após o início da pandemia desenvolveram algum problema de ordem mental ou tiveram piora de condição já existente e 58,1% (n=108) informaram indisponibilidade de uma rede de apoio com serviços de psicologia e psiquiatria no local de trabalho. Pelo exposto, torna-se cada vez mais importante a adoção/atualização de estratégias de proteção, promoção e recuperação da saúde direcionadas para estes profissionais, considerando as suas diferentes realidades e necessidades.
