Justificativa e Objetivos:A flebite pode levar à necessidade de intervenções assistenciais de maior complexidade, como a utilização de antibioticoterapia ou até uma intervenção cirúrgica, além de prolongar a internação do paciente e aumentar o custo e risco de infecções. O presente estudo visa descrever as flebites notificadas em um hospital universitário e assim contribuir com possíveis ações de melhoria na qualidade do cuidado e na segurança do paciente. Métodos:Estudo observacional de caráter retrospectivo desenvolvido em três unidades de internação de um hospital universitário do município de Vitória, ES, Brasil. No período de junho a agosto de 2017 foram analisados os prontuários de 76 pacientes, a partir das notificações de flebite registradas por um software eletrônico. Também foram coletadas informações sobre as condições sociodemográficas e clínicas dos pacientes e as relacionadas aos registros de enfermagem. Os dados foram tabulados em planilha do Microsoft Office Excel2007 e analisados pelo programa de estatísticaStatistical Package for the Social Sciences 22(SPSS 22). Resultados: Identificou-se que 56,4% das flebites ocorreram em homens, faixa etária entre 41 e 65 anos (42,3%) e 46,1% dos pacientes fizeram uso de antibióticos. Houve registro da conduta adotada em 59,2% dos casos, e as mais realizadas foram compressas de gelo (44,7%) e elevação do membro (34,2%). Conclusão:O conhecimento acerca das características das flebites notificadas propicia o entendimento e a minimização deste evento adverso, a fim de estabelecer as condutas de prevenção e diminuição do risco e da incidência. Introdução: A partir da vigência do Programa Nacional de Segurança do Paciente (PNSP) no Brasil, tornou-se obrigatória a implantação de Núcleos de Segurança do Paciente (NSP) nos estabelecimentos de saúde. Apesar dos estudos sobre a implantação dos NSP em hospitais, até o momento, não há uma síntese que apresente pontos para orientar ações para melhoria de sua efetividade. Objetivo: Sintetizar o conhecimento disponível em publicações científicas brasileiras sobre a estruturação, funcionamento e atuação de NSP em hospitais. Método: Revisão integrativa de literatura realizada a partir da questão: “O que a produção científica apresenta sobre a estruturação e funcionamento de NSP em hospitais?”. As buscas foram realizadas em junho de 2020, nas bases de dados LILACS, MEDLINE e BDENF, por meio de combinações dos seguintes descritores: Segurança do Paciente; Gestão de Riscos, Gestão de Segurança e Hospitais. Resultados: Doze artigos foram selecionados para inclusão. No geral, os NSP nos hospitais atendem parcialmente às diretrizes do PNSP. Foram identificadas falhas relacionadas às estruturas materiais e de recursos humanos dos NSP, bem como em relação às suas atividades. Aspectos do contexto local que representaram barreiras ou facilitadores para atuação efetiva dos NSP incluem questões materiais (por exemplo, dimensionamento e treinamento da equipe), simbólicas (por exemplo, cultura punitiva), relacionais (por exemplo, apoio da alta gestão) e institucionais (por exemplo, ferramentas para gestão da qualidade). Conclusões: A implantação de NSP nos hospitais tem apresentado avanços, mas ainda há muitos desafios para sua atuação efetiva. Melhorar a efetividade dos NSP exige criar um contexto mais favorável para o desenvolvimento de ações de melhoria da segurança.
Objetivo: analisar a produção científica acerca da compreensão dos graduandos de enfermagem sobre a segurança do paciente. Método: revisão integrativa com busca realizada de março a maio de 2020. O total de 15 artigos foi analisado com a tradução, leitura e interpretação dos resultados e comparação com o conhecimento teórico. Resultados: foram estabelecidos quatro eixos temáticos: o entendimento dos estudantes sobre segurança do paciente; os desafios da comunicação que podem afetar a segurança do paciente; os desafios do conhecimento dos estudantes e ensino sobre segurança do paciente e o papel do enfermeiro na construção da cultura de segurança. Conclusão: as compreensões dos estudantes foram: a insuficiente estrutura de ensino dos cursos de graduação, os dilemas éticos oriundos dos erros, o receio de infligirem danos aos indivíduos por desconhecimento das melhores práticas e os enfermeiros dos serviços vistos como protagonistas na conquista da cultura de segurança nas instituições de saúde.
