"O presente artigo apresenta uma análise de parte dos dados obtidos por meio de um questionário aplicado a professores de Matemática da rede pública de ensino de escolas do litoral norte do Rio Grande do Sul. Este instrumento de coleta de dados é oriundo de um projeto de pesquisa desenvolvido no Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio Grande do Sul, campus Osório, intitulado “Aprendizagem Significativa e Formação de Professores”, e tem por objetivos analisar as práticas docentes dos envolvidos, a partir da presença ou ausência de uma estruturação que desencadeie um máximo potencial de aprendizagem significativa e verificar se os seus diferentes níveis de formação acadêmica influenciam nessa estruturação em sala de aula. A estruturação das práticas docentes dos professores participantes foi avaliada a partir de questionamentos que envolviam a unidade temática Álgebra, mais especificamente o estudo de Funções para o ensino médio. A fim de atingir os objetivos propostos no presente trabalho, foi desenvolvida pesquisa bibliográfica sobre as temáticas de Ensino de Matemática, Álgebra, Aprendizagem Significativa e Metodologia e Análise de Dados. Os resultados apresentaram uma forte banalização do termo “Aprendizagem Significativa” nos discursos dos professores envolvidos que, em sua totalidade, não satisfizeram aos parâmetros mínimos indicados por essa teoria."
Este trabalho objetiva apresentar os resultados preliminares da implementação de uma proposta didática para a abordagem de conceitos sobre arborização urbana em um curso de extensão, que ocorreu de forma remota, com estudantes de uma escola pública da cidade de Osório (RS). A sequência didática, denominada Unidade de ensino potencialmente significativa, teve suas atividades planejadas de modo a atender as três condições essenciais para a aprendizagem significativa: a apresentação de um novo conhecimento, estruturado de maneira lógica; a existência de conhecimentos prévios que possibilitem a sua conexão com o novo conhecimento; motivação discente para apreender. São analisados indícios de diferenciação progressiva e reconciliação integrativa, apresentados ao longo das atividades. Considera-se que a UEPS teve boa aceitação, mesmo sendo um estudo preliminar que faz parte de uma investigação mais abrangente, já que é possível identificar indícios de aprendizagem significativa dos conceitos científicos relacionados à arborização urbana.
O trabalho é uma reflexão das primeiras ações – didáticas e metodológicas – como professores de Matemática na Escola Básica, viabilizadas pelo projeto de extensão denominado “Iniciação à Docência”, do IFRS, Campus Osório. Tal trabalho tem como objetivo compartilhar vivências, experiências e inquietações que ocorreram desde a construção das atividades para determinados conteúdos, bem como a forma de trabalhar com os estudantes na Escola Básica, além das muitas incertezas advindas do processo de planejamento e da execução do trabalho docente. A metodologia adotada consistiu em um estudo de caso, que analisou a ação de treze docentes iniciantes em suas primeiras atividades como professores na Escola Básica, mais especificamente nos anos finais do Ensino Fundamental. O projeto foi desenvolvido em cinco escolas públicas do Litoral Norte do RS, na modalidade de oficinas. A teoria adotada foi a de Piaget, quanto ao processo de aprendizagem construtivista; a de Freire, quanto à necessidade do diálogo permanente em sala de aula entre professor e estudantes; e, por fim, a de autores de Educação Matemática, como Fiorentini, Pais e outros, que abordam reflexões quanto ao uso de diferentes meios e formas para se trabalhar na Escola Básica. Os principais resultados foram: a mobilização dos licenciandos ao planejarem e executarem as atividades, e a mesma dos estudantes das escolas ao explorarem as atividades em sala de aula; e a reflexão dos discentes em licenciatura, que precisam estudar e aprender muito, tanto Matemática quanto Educação Matemática, a fim de que se tornem professores.
