Al analizar el proceso de inserción laboral de los jóvenes, los factores usualmente considerados son las credenciales educativas, las experiencias laborales previas y el género, invisibilizando una dimensión más estructural como es el origen social. El objetivo de esta investigación es indagar de qué formas el origen social delinea distintas trayectorias laborales para los jóvenes en la Argentina. En este trabajo adoptamos una perspectiva longitudinal en la que articulamos una mirada cuantitativa –a partir de matrices de transición construidas con microdatos de la Encuesta Permanente de Hogares (eph)– con una perspectiva cualitativa del mundo laboral. La combinación de enfoques nos permite ir más allá del análisis de transiciones laborales a partir de los datos estadísticos y analizar trayectos más amplios de la inserción laboral de los jóvenes, lo cual posibilita articular los factores estructurales que afectan las posibilidades de trabajo con las significaciones y visiones puestas en juego por los jóvenes
La difusión de la subcontratación ha repercutido en la calidad del empleo, lo que ha generado condiciones de trabajo diferenciales para trabajadores directos y subcontratados. El presente artículo aborda una dimensión específica del empleo: la seguridad laboral de los trabajadores subcontratados. La investigación indaga en los motivos que esgrimen los trabajadores del sector petroquímico en Argentina para explicar la recurrencia de accidentes más graves entre trabajadores subcontratados. A partir de entrevistas realizadas a trabajadores del sector se identificaron cuatro conjuntos de explicaciones: capacitación insuficiente sobre el manejo de riesgos que reciben y falta de concientización sobre los recaudos necesarios; deficiencias en la calidad de los elementos de seguridad utilizados; la propia naturaleza de las actividades externalizadas, y la falta de protección sindical.
El objetivo de esta investigación es contribuir al debate en torno a los determinantes del salario.Este artículo centra su análisis en los diferenciales interindustriales en la relación entre productividady salarios en la Argentina del periodo 2003-2012. Mediante un análisis cuantitativo sedistinguen las pautas de evolución de tal relación. Se concluye que durante el primer quinquenio(2003-2007) ha habido un incremento del salario real mayor al de la productividad para todoslos sectores industriales; mientras que en el quinquenio siguiente el comportamiento ha sidomás heterogéneo. Así, la reducción de la desigualdad salarial no ha estado explicada por una reducciónsimilar de la desigualdad productiva.
Dans l’analyse contemporaine du processus d’insertion professionnelle des jeunes, les facteurs pris en considération sont les diplômes, l'expérience professionnelle préalable et le genre, masquant ainsi une dimension plus structurelle, à savoir l'origine sociale. L'objectif de cette recherche est d'étudier comment l'origine sociale façonne les trajectoires professionnelles des jeunes en Argentine.
Dans cet article, nous adoptons une perspective longitudinale dans laquelle nous articulons un regard quantitatif – à partir des matrices de transition construites avec des microdonnées de l'Enquête permanente auprès des foyers (EPH) – et qualitatif du monde du travail. La combinaison des approches nous permet d'aller au-delà de l'analyse des transitions professionnelles à partir de données statistiques et d'analyser des itinéraires plus longs d’insertion des jeunes, ce qui permet de mettre en relation les facteurs structurels touchant les possibilités d'emploi et les significations et visions mises en jeu par les jeunes.
