O presente trabalho discute questões acerca das práticas extensionistas durante a realidade da pandemia de Covid-19 no Brasil. São analisadas ações realizadas pelo MuDI - Museu Diários do Isolamento, museu de virtuais conexões criado durante os primeiros meses pandêmicos, em meados de 2020. A instituição, com viés interdisciplinar, faz parte de um projeto de extensão vinculado ao curso de Bacharelado em Museologia da Universidade Federal de Pelotas (UFPel) e ao Núcleo de Estudos sobre Museus, Ciência e Sociedade (NEMuCS). Através do seu caráter extensionista, o MuDI se coloca no papel de museu virtual institucional que possibilita ampliar a formação do profissional museólogo, trazendo os discentes para a vivência do cotidiano de uma instituição colaborativa. Também é trazida à discussão uma das exposições mais recentes, ‘(RE) existência: os vários lugares da mulher na pandemia’ compartilhando o cotidiano e as multifa- cetas das mulheres durante a pandemia - a concepção contou com uma equipe multidisciplinar, envolvendo docentes e discentes de diversas áreas, assim como a participação de cientistas e artistas que deram os seus depoimentos acerca de suas realidades no contexto pandêmico.
