Schelling plein d’enthousiasme a commencé à léna son cours d’hiver 1798 avec une “esquisse de philosophie de la Nature”. Elle fais ait suite à deux publications originales, les Idées pour une philosophie de la nature (1797, inachevées) et L'âme du Monde (1798), qui eut un grand retentissement. Ces ouvrages avaient pour fil conducteur la devise: l’esprit nature invisible, la nature esprit visible. Or le cours d'Iéna consacre la philosophie de la Nature comme science originale et autonome, détachée de l’instance transcendentale. Quoique rédigée schématiquement, réduite à la sécheresse de l'exposé didactique, l'Esquisse regorge d'idées neuves. On a choisi d'insister sur l’anthropologie, fortement insérée dans la Nature, et, au sein de l'anthropologie, sur l’aspect de la sexualité. Cet aspect, méconnu des interprètes, est un hapax dans l'oeuvre. Schelling établit une sexualité surtout générique, caractérisée par le sacrifice de l'individu à l’espèce. D’une façon générale, dans la ligne du poème burlesque Heinz Widerporst, le jeune Schelling prône une homologie de la Nature et de l’Homme.
A ética é matéria de reflexão da filosofia medieval, embora sem a centralidade tida pela especulação metafísica e análise lógica (Williams, 2018). Sem considerar o pensamento islâmico e judaico medieval, a ética cristã revela um conjunto de tópicos transversais (felicidade, amizade, liberdade, retidão) a vários domínios do saber (jurídico/lei, o econômico/lucro, religioso/pecado/salvação/graça). Os objetivos do texto visam, por um lado, mostrar que a ética, de matriz estoica e patrística, se inscreve no pensamento medieval como retidão de vida e, por outro, registar a sua presença na fase incoativa da universidade. A metodologia é de natureza analítica devido ao tipo de incursão que se faz nos textos. Os resultados expectados são de duas ordens: suprir o preconceito anti medieval e colocar a ética no roteiro de futuras leituras e investigações. O presente texto questiona o reducionismo retro projetivo que substitui a diversidade do pensamento ético medieval por um modelo ético único. A partir deste pressuposto questiona-se o uso singular do termo ‘ética’. Deve-se falar de ‘ética’ medieval ou de ‘éticas’ no período medieval? A resposta à pergunta descreve um ziguezague entre um e outro termo, consoante os autores evocados, os acontecimentos e os rumos de formação do mundo europeu.
RESUMO.O presente texto pretende analisar o modo como Sigea se posiciona em face da questão prática de viver na corte, tópico central do Colloquium (Dialogue de deux jeunes filles sur la vie de cour et la vie de retraite), publicado em Lisboa no ano de 1552. O texto desenvolve-se através da explicitação de alguns aspectos como os do humanismo renascentista português, para depois analisar o modo como Sigea interpreta a formação necessária para se alcançar a vida feliz (beata uita).Palavras-chave: Sigea, estoicismo, espelhos de príncipes, beata vita.Stoicism in Luísa Sigea's thinking: the dichotomy between public life and private life ABSTRACT. This paper aims to examine Sigea's position to the question of life at court, the central topic of the Colloquium (Dialogue between two young women on courtly and private life), published in 1552 in Lisbon. The development of the text starts with the explanation of some aspects such as the princes' mirror (specula principum) and the palace circle of the Princess D. Maria, during the Portuguese Renaissance Humanism. IntroduçãoO nível erudito do Colloquium de Luisa Sigea não deixa indiferente quem o lê. Para além da erudição que as duas personagens do diálogo exibem subjaz um pensamento crítico por explorar na sua vertente ético-política dentro do contexto cultural do humanismo português, devedor da presença de Cataldo Sículo.
