AbstractThe main purpose of maternal-embryo-fetal medicine is to reduce morbidity and mortality during pregnancy. When talking about the assessment of lung maturity, we face a diagnostic challenge that will allow us to label a fetus as lung-ripe despite not reaching 37 weeks of gestation, which will optimize both intrauterine and post-natal management, in view of that when talking about lung maturity is associated with a decrease in problems in the adaptation of the newborn to the extrauterine environment without the need for special care. The present article allowed us to analyze and demonstrate the use of acceleration and ejection time of the fetal pulmonary artery as a predictor of neonatal pulmonary maturity. It is concluded in the absence of a safe gold standard test that determines the fetal lung maturity and that in turn is non-invasive, the interest arises in investigating the values and changes according to the gestational age of the relationship between TA, TD, TE in the trunk of 44 Tiempo de aceleración y tiempo de eyección de la arteria pulmonar fetal como predictor de madurez pulmonar the pulmonary artery, becoming a reliable technique that improves perinatal outcomes and decreases the number of admissions to neonatal therapy.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
