In Chile, three species have been documented: M. procera, M. bonaerensis y M. rachodes, at present the last specie currently belong to the genus Chlorophyllum. In this review, the macromorphological, and microscopic characteristics of the three species mentioned above are described according to the literature. In addition, a dichotomous key was adapted based on the bibliography to facilitate the determination of the species.
