Este ensaio abordou a questão das mudanças climáticas no semiárido nordestino, a partir da reflexão de eventos históricos fundamentais para a discussão que envolve o meio ambiente, a saúde e as alterações do clima. Diferentes nações estão tomando medidas de enfrentamento a essas mudanças, no Brasil ações em nível federal também se somam as ações estaduais e ainda timidamente as municipais para convivência com este novo momento. As regiões brasileiras são peculiares, cada ecossistema responde de maneira singular as modificações de temperatura e já são afetadas pelas modificações do clima, comprometendo ecossistemas e desencadeando novos problemas nas cidades. Tratou-se em especial das repercussões sobre o semiárido por ser uma região bastante vulnerável, devido a extensas áreas de desertificação aliado a seca constante e as questões socioambientais. O bioma caatinga possui ampla diversidade biológica que tem muito a contribuir para o desenvolvimento sustentável do país. São apontadas alternativas sustentáveis para convivência com as atuais mudanças do clima no semiárido uma vez que a preservação da diversidade biológica é reconhecidamente de extrema importância para a sobrevivência humana. Na valorização dos saberes locais em articulação com as políticas públicas se tem uma maneira de atenuar as mudanças regionais de clima e possibilitar o enfrentamento das mudanças climáticas globais.
O presente trabalho focaliza o tema da inclusão de alunos com necessidades especiais no processo ensino aprendizagem no contexto escolar do ensino regular. Configura em uma reflexão sobre a educação inclusiva, fazendo uma breve análise do histórico do processo da inclusão dessas crianças na escola. Dessa forma trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica que teve como temática central discutir o desafio da inclusão no ambiente escolar, e da reorganização da educação especial e refletindo sobre a importância de uma formação docente que contribua para o desenvolvimento de uma educação que respeite a diversidade. Abordar a trajetória histórica da educação das pessoas com necessidades educacionais especiais, desde os atendimentos segregativos até os processos inclusivos, apresentando alguns conceitos necessários à compreensão do que é educação especial e sobre como são identificados quadros que constituem sujeitos atendidos pela educação especial. Os resultados apontam que, o atendimento educacional especializado tem como função identificar, elaborar e organizar recursos pedagógicos e de acessibilidade que eliminem as barreiras para a plena participação dos alunos, considerando suas necessidades específicas.
Artigo recebido em para publicação em abr/2013 e aceito para publicação em mai/2013 RESUMO O trabalho é um dos fatores contribuintes no processo de adoecimento dos indivíduos, interferindo no processo saúde-doença. O objetivo do estudo foi fazer uma reflexão sobre as políticas públicas voltadas á saúde do trabalhador. Trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica de natureza qualitativa, realizada nas bases de dados LILACS, SciELO e Periódicos CAPES. Foram encontrados 61 artigos dos quais 13 estiveram propícios a análise. O estudo mostra que as políticas de saúde do trabalhador são pontuais e fragmentadas, sem clareza quanto às competências do SUS, da Previdência Social e do Ministério do Trabalho. Os CERESTs promovem ações para melhorar as condições trabalhistas e a qualidade de vida, mas o pequeno número de estabelecimentos e a distribuição desigual entre Estados e Municípios geram pouca resolubilidade. O contexto atual requer atuação efetiva das políticas de saúde no reconhecimento dos agravos, na intensificação das investigações e na prevenção de acidentes e doenças ocupacionais.
