RESUMO: Objetivo: investigar como os enfermeiros atuantes na atenção básica, realizam a educação em saúde com os usuários. Método: foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica com abordagem descritivo-exploratória em artigos nacionais nas bases de dados LILACS e BDENF. Resultados: de acordo com critérios de inclusão e exclusão, 24 artigos foram selecionados e submetidos à análise temática. Os dados foram organizados em dois eixos temáticos: Educação em Saúde Emancipatória e Educação em Saúde Não Emancipatória. Conclusões: é relevante aprofundar as discussões sobre este tema, assim como indicar que os enfermeiros utilizem metodologias pedagógicas que respeitem a autonomia dos usuários, capazes de auxiliá-los no seu processo de aprendizado, no sentido de tornarem-se sujeitos do seu processo de viver. RESUMOO artigo trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa que buscou identificar limites e possibilidades para viabilizar a integralidade no cuidado à família em uma equipe de Saúde da Família a partir da perspectiva dos profissionais da saúde, em um município do Rio Grande do Sul. A coleta de dados foi realizada por meio de entrevista semiestruturada direcionada aos profissionais que atuam na Estratégia de Saúde da Família, utilizando a análise de conteúdo temática. Os resultados mostraram que de acordo com os profissionais de saúde, as dificuldades para integralidade se referem à falta de tempo da equipe para planejar as atividades, deficiência na estrutura do serviço e limitações dos profissionais ao realizar procedimentos e intervenção técnicas-curativas. Consideram a experiências obtidas durante a formação e a trajetória profissional como uma possibilidade para alcançar um cuidado integral. Evidenciou-se a preocupação com a organização das práticas em seus aspectos mais técnicos, o que se sobrepõe a reflexões e discussões sobre a integralidade das famílias. Evidencia-se a complexidade presente no campo da saúde para consolidação de um cuidado integral, sendo que esse é fortemente influenciado tanto pelos profissionais, como pela dimensão organizacional e política dos serviços. INTRODUÇÃOA saúde no Brasil sofreu fortes mudanças nas décadas de oitenta e noventa, com a criação do Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS). Apesar de ser o sistema de saúde vigente, amparado na Constituição Federal de 1988 e regulamentado pela Lei 8080/90, enfrenta uma constante luta ideológica e política na tentativa de reverter o modelo assistencial centrado na cura de doenças, direcionando-o para uma visão holística e integral do ser humano.Nessa perspectiva, a integralidade em saúde torna-se fundamental como prática norteadora das ações em saúde.(1) Como princípio fundamental do SUS, a integralidade consiste no direito que as pessoas têm de serem atendidas no conjunto de suas necessidades, e no dever que o Estado tem de oferecer serviços de saúde organizados para atender essas necessidades de forma integral.(2) Como um termo polissêmico, diz respeito a "um conjunto de valores pelos quais vale lutar, pois se relacionam a um ideal de uma sociedade mais justa e mais solidária".(1:41) A integralidade tem funcionado como uma imagem-objetivo, sendo uma forma de indicar (ainda que de modo sintético) características desejáveis do sistema de saúde e das práticas que nele são exercidas. Desse modo, o que se espera é que a integralidade não seja tomada apenas como um conceito, mas como um ideal regulador, no qual é quase impossível ser plenamente consolidado, mas que se deve buscar aproximar.(3,4) Sabe-se que as práticas e os serviços de saúde, de acordo
