THE EXPERIENCE OF DEAF PEOPLE IN THE SPHERES OF DAILY ACTIVITIESABSTRACT: This paper analyzes statements of deaf subjects on the ways they participate to spheres of activities in which different segments of the population circulate in their everyday life (at work, in commercial places and in public services, for example). The interviews reveal that the deaf are faced with difficulties in situations that, usually, are banal for hearing people. Furthermore, the interviewed show a very partial recognition of the unsatisfactory and un-* Fonoaudióloga e mestre em educação.
