A evidenciação das empresas pode assumir duas perspectivas, a divulgação obrigatória e voluntária. Normalmente, a evidenciação obrigatória imprime um padrão de divulgação, mas quando se trata de divulgação voluntária, essa envolve a natureza endógena da empresa e que, portanto, depende do julgamento dos gestores pela divulgação ou não de determinando item. Sendo assim, este estudo analisou os fatores determinantes do nível de divulgação de informação voluntária das empresas, tendo com base de cálculo a adaptação da métrica de Murcia e Santos (2009). As informações foram obtidas através das Demonstrações Financeiras Padronizadas publicadas no site da BM&FBOVESPA, relativas ao exercício findo em 2012. Fundamentando-se pela Teoria da Divulgação Voluntária construíram-se sete hipóteses que foram testadas através do modelo de regressão linear múltipla, tendo como variável a ser explicada o Índice de Divulgação Voluntária (IDV) e como variáveis explicativas a Rentabilidade (ROE), Sustentabilidade (ISE), Tamanho (TAM), Endividamento (END), Concentração Acionária (CON), Internacionalização (INT) e Empresas Regulamentadas (REG). Os resultados apontam que a rentabilidade, o tamanho das empresas e a sustentabilidade são fatores determinantes da divulgação voluntária, sendo portanto, positivamente significativas nos modelos estimados. Consequentemente, concluiu-se que quatro das hipóteses testadas não possuem comprovação empírica, são elas: endividamento, concentração acionária, internacionalização e empresas regulamentadas.
ResumoA responsabilidade social corporativa se refere às preocupações sociais relacionadas ao meio ambiente, aos recursos humanos e ao envolvimento com a comunidade. A divulgação voluntária de informações sociais ocorre de forma heterogênea e algumas empresas optam por evidenciar uma quantidade maior de informações e com maior riqueza de detalhes. Ciente disso, esta pesquisa teve como objetivo identificar os fatores determinantes da divulgação voluntária de informações de caráter social das empresas brasileiras, no período de 2010 a 2012. A partir das teorias (stakeholders e divulgação voluntária) e dos estudos anteriores, construíram-se seis hipóteses sobre os possíveis fatores determinantes da divulgação voluntária social (tamanho, concentração acionária, rentabilidade, leverage, setor regulado e reputação). O universo desta pesquisa foram as empresas de capital aberto listadas na BM&FBOVESPA, no período de 2010 a 2012. A amostra foi composta pelas 100 empresas listadas na BM&FBovespa com ações mais negociadas durante os 12 meses do ano de 2012. Quanto aos modelos econométricos, utilizou-se painel com efeitos aleatório estimado por OLS, sendo a variável dependente os índices de divulgação social e as variáveis independentes, os prováveis fatores determinantes. Os resultados sugeriram que o tamanho da empresa, a rentabilidade, a reputação e o setor regulado foram fatores considerados determinantes da divulgação voluntária social. Constatou-se que os stakeholders, o governo e a sociedade podem influenciar a divulgação voluntária social. A variável "rentabilidade" aponta que as empresas menos rentáveis divulgaram mais informações voluntárias sociais, o que pode ser indício de uma tentativa da empresa de desviar a atenção dos stakeholders do desempenho financeiro. Cont Org (2019) n. temático Fraudes e Corrupção: o que Contabilidade e Organizações têm a dizer? 64-74 64 A pesquisa teve como escopo investigar, nos países do Mercosul, o reflexo da sinergia entre a dificuldade de realização de negócios e a percepção da corrupção do setor público no crescimento econômico e financeiro das empresas. A amostra foi composta por 8 países integrantes do Mercosul, entre os anos de 2010 a 2017, com um total de 655 empresas de diversos setores e 4.648 observações. Com base na Teoria da Graxa sobre Rodas, o estudo levou em consideração que a corrupção pode favorecer o crescimento econômico das empresas, à medida que desate as amarras da burocracia e reduza os custos transacionais das empresas. Os resultados encontrados conduzem ao entendimento de que a associação sinérgica entre a percepção da corrupção e a dificuldade de realizações de negócios nos países do Mercosul favorece o crescimento econômico das empresas em tais países. O efeito sinérgico positivo é direcionado, preponderantemente, para as grandes empresas, em função de maiores condições financeiras de arcar com os custos da corrupção. As evidências empíricas encontradas acrescentam novas centelhas para o constructo argumentativo no qual se pauta a Teoria da Graxa sobre Rodas. O objetivo da pesquisa foi analisar a relação de dependência entre a divulgação voluntária social e ambiental e as características rentabilidade, leverage, propriedade acionária e tamanho das empresas listadas na BM&FBovespa. O universo da pesquisa foi composto por empresas de capital aberto listadas na BM&FBovespa, nos períodos de 2010 a 2012. A amostra foi composta pelas 79 empresas listadas na BM&FBovespa com ações mais negociadas em 2012 e que divulgaram ao menos um relatório de sustentabilidade/relatório anual. A divulgação voluntária social e ambiental foi mensurada por meio de uma métrica de 80 itens, que possibilitaram a obtenção dos índices. As características específicas analisadas foram: rentabilidade, endividamento, concentração acionária e tamanho das empresas. A influência das características das empresas sobre o índice de divulgação voluntária de informações de caráter social e ambiental foi verificada por meio do teste Qui-quadrado (X2) e Análise de Correspondência (ANACOR). Os resultados mostram que a rentabilidade (ROE), a concentração acionária, medido pela participação acionária do principal acionista de empresa, apresentam relação de dependência e correspondência com o índice de divulgação voluntária social. Quanto ao índice de divulgação voluntária ambiental, apenas a variável concentração acionária demonstrou uma relação de dependência com o índice. A variável leverage, que mede o nível de endividamentos das empresas, se mostrou independente ao nível de divulgação social e ambiental. A variável tamanho buscou medir a existência de dependência entre o tamanho das empresas e o nível de divulgação social e ambiental, o teste Qui-quadrado não encontrou relação de dependência entre as variáveis.Palavras-chave: Divulgação social e ambiental.
