Este estudo se refere a um recorte da dissertação de mestrado da pesquisadora, que tem como título: “SIM, EU SOU PROFESSORA: formação continuada na visão do docente da educação infantil”, defendida em fevereiro de 2019, e por objetivos identificar e compreender a visão das docentes atuantes na Educação Infantil, no que tange à formação continuada e em serviço da qual participam e se esta contribui ou não para a sua profissão. Para isso optou-se por uma pesquisa descritiva, de abordagem qualitativa, na qual o alcance dos dados se deu por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas e relatos de vida profissional docente, expressos em diários reflexivos, apoiados em narrativas autobiográficas. Foram entrevistadas 7 professoras da rede municipal de uma cidade do Vale do Paraíba Paulista, uma de cada região da cidade, sendo duas na região sul, região que apresenta o maior número de escolas de educação infantil. Os dados obtidos foram estudados a partir da metodologia de análise de conteúdo e interpretados a partir das contribuições teóricas de autores como Freire (2019), Nóvoa (2017), Oliveira (2017), Angotti (2014), Gatti (2010), Marcelo García (2009), entre outros. As análises dos dados nos revelaram que as professoras reconhecem que o programa de formação continuada oferecido pela referida rede municipal contribuiu com a sua profissão, no tocante a momentos oportunos para estudo, trocas de experiências, reflexão sobre a prática. As vozes das 7 professoras participantes também expressaramo desejo de maior participação destas nos processos formativos, ressaltando que estes devem abarcar o intercâmbio dos docentes com os pares de outras unidades escolares, especialistas e pesquisadores da educação, além de serem sujeitos desta formação, com autoria e autonomia do delineamento desta a partir das reais necessidades que emergem do seu trabalho.
