AbstractThe environment in Neonatal Intensive Care Units, although essential for the survival of the newborn preterm features sophisticated technology that ensures his life, however provides a very different from the mother's womb space. The newborn is exposed to excessive and diverse stimulation that can influence negatively the sleep pattern and the proper development of your central nervous system and their life skills. Objective: To reflect on the care that interfere with sleep and development of the newborn. Methods: Narrative review that resulted from remote access to electronic data platform EBSCO and Scielo database. Results: The neonatal intensive care units are designed to receive newborns who need special care, being in his premature majority who have fewer skills to deal with environmental stimulation. Conclusions: Preterm infants are at high risk of suffering from disturbances in their development, with implications for their future life. Nurses play a key role in providing safe care, with expertise suitable for standard protection sleep and development of the newborn.
Generations of young people, adults, and the elderly have or have had different ways of acquiring knowledge about HIV/AIDS. This chapter explores how these people have accessed that information.
