In 2020, Latin American economies are facing a number of challenges and opportunities derived from regional and global events. Latin American economies have a number of factors and components to positioned and warrant these economies amongst one of the world's fastest growing regions. However, for the last four decades, the region has shown a weak and volatile economic performance, with periods of booms and busts. This paper assesses the region's main challenges and opportunities on its quest towards implementing an inclusive, equitable, competitive, and sustainable economy and society.

The Covid-19 pandemic is deeply affecting the social, economic, and political dimensions of several countries around the globe. The pandemic is affecting several industries differently, including creative industries. In the last decade, creative industries have expanded fast, creating jobs, generating export revenues, and leading to a number of technological innovations. This article discusses the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the global creative industry.

In 2023, the global economy is going through a number of challenges. The imposition of sanctions on Russia, as a result of the Ukraine-Russia conflict, has unleashed and fostered a new globalization cycle and paradigm, with important implications for global business. This paper explores one of the consequences of this new globalization paradigm that is unfolding-the expansion of the BRIC group, "BRIC Plus", and its challenges and opportunities. The increasing fragmentation of the established globalization paradigm and the new geopolitical and geoeconomic global realignment will send shockwaves throughout the global economy. The looming global recession may aggravate these outcomes.
