Beef cattle raising have been doing as sideline business in farming systems. Such conditions lead to frequent farmers are not fully paying attention. Therefore, the potential for increased economic value is very likely obtained when competencies resource owned by the farmers can be utilized optimally. The study aims to map the the resource owned by the farmers in particular the potential of land, feed resouces and family labour. The study was conducted at three (3) areas with different agricultural commodity basis, using the survey with 180 respondent randomly selected. The results shown that farmers at the smallholders estate area have more resources than both farners in the crop and horticulture basis areas. In all three areas of research, utilization of resoources are still not optimal. Optimizing the use of available resources is still possible to increase the scale of beef cattle raising in the three areas of research.
The purpose of this research was to know the effect of energy, lipid and protein in broodstock diets on spawning fecundity and eggs quality of giant gourami (Ospheronemus gouramy Lac). The study was consisted of three experiments, namely energy content experiment, lipid content experiment and protein content experiment. Latin Square Design with 4 treatments, 4 rows and 4 columns was used to analyze the data. The results of this research showed that: (1) content of energy in broodstock diets had highly significant effect (p<0.01) on spawning fecundity, eggs diameter, eggs fertility rate and eggs hatching rate, (2) content of lipid in broodstock diets had highly significant effect (p<0.01) on spawning fecundity, eggs fertility rate and eggs hatching rate, but it had not any effect (p>0.05) on eggs diameter, (3) content of protein in broodstock diets had highly significant effect (p<0.01) on spawning fecundity, eggs diameter and eggs hatching rate and it had significant effect (p<0.05) on eggs fertility rate. The best of energy, lipid and protein content in broodstock diet of giant gourami that was 3,300 kcal energy/kg diet, 5.0% lipid and 35% protein.
ABSTRAKFungi mikoriza arbuskula (FMA) dapat membantu tanaman untuk penyediaan dan penyerapan unsur P yang rendah ketersediaannya pada tanah masam. Pupuk organik dapat memberikan pengaruh terhadap sifat fisik, kimia dan biologis tanah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari dan mengetahui pengaruh FMA dan pupuk organik terhadap peningkatan hasil dan nilai nutrisi rumput kumpai di tanah masam podzolik merah kuning. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap pola faktorial 5×3 dan ulangan tiga kali. Dua faktor sebagai perlakuan yaitu FMA dan pupuk organik. FMA terdiri dari tiga taraf: 0 g/pot, 10 g/pot dan 20 g/pot. Pupuk organik terdiri dari lima taraf: 0%, 50% pupuk kandang sapi, 100% pupuk kandangsapi, 50% pupuk kompos dan 100% pupuk kompos. Peubah yang diamati adalah panjang daun, lebar daun, panjang tanaman, jumlah anakan, jumlah daun, produksi bahan kering hijauan, berat kering akar, protein kasar, kandungan fosfor, kecernaan bahan kering dan kecernaan bahan organik in-vitro. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian FMA dan pupuk organik berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0.01) terhadap semua peubah yang diamati. Sedangkan interaksi FMA dan pupuk organik berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap berat kering akar, protein kasar, kandungan fosfor dan kecernaan bahan organik.Kata kunci: Hymenache amplexicaulis (Rudge) Nees., fungi mikoriza arbuskula, pupuk organik, hasil dan nilai nutrisi.
