Este trabalho teve como objetivo verificar a relação existente entre satisfação com a experiência acadêmica discente e confiança comportamental nas instituições de ensino superior privadas do país. A metodologia utilizada foi a pesquisa de natureza quantitativa, de corte transversal único, realizada com estudantes de três IES privadas do estado de São Paulo, sendo duas na capital e uma no interior. O questionário partiu de uma escala validada com três fatores independentes: satisfação com o curso, satisfação com a instituição de ensino superior e oportunidades de desenvolvimento; e um dependente: confiança comportamental. Os resultados apontam que a satisfação com a instituição foi o fator que mostrou influenciar positivamente a confiança comportamental para com a instituição, não sendo possível confirmar as hipóteses com relação a satisfação com o curso e, oportunidade de desenvolvimento.
Este trabalho buscou investigar e comparar o comportamento de coordenadores de cursos de graduação de duas Instituições de ensino superior (IES) de perfis diferentes, no que tange ao combate à evasão - uma IES confessional sem fins lucrativos e que oferece cursos na modalidade de ensino presencial e uma IES privada com finalidade lucrativa que oferta cursos na modalidade EAD. Destarte, tratou-se de verificar se o comportamento dos coordenadores de IES de naturezas distintas, se diferem no combate ao fenômeno, bem como saber se há nas instituições, ações estruturadas para combater a evasão. A metodologia utilizada foi a pesquisa de natureza qualitativa, por corte transversal único, apoiada em entrevistas semiestruturadas, realizadas presencialmente e de maneira individual nas respectivas IES. Os resultados mostram que o comportamento dos coordenadores entrevistados, não se difere nas atitudes e discursos, mas que as IES sim, possuem posturas diferentes, embora ambas apresentem problemas no enfrentamento da questão. Dado que a evasão é um problema presente no cenário educacional brasileiro, abre-se espaço para novas pesquisas e para o debate sobre processos institucionais e posturas pessoais de gestores no combate ao fenômeno.
