INTRODUÇÃOA avaliação da bioatividade de compostos orgânicos, sejam eles provenientes de plantas ou de síntese, tem sido pouco viável em laboratórios tradicionais de química. Geralmente, a não ser que existam programas de colaboração com biólogos ou farmacólogos, os laboratórios de química não estão adequadamente equipados para a realização de bioensaios de rotina utilizando animais ou tecidos e órgãos isolados. A necessidade de realizar ensaios com procedimentos simples e rápidos, levou à busca de novos testes.A letalidade de organismos simples tem sido utilizada para um rápido e relativamente simples monitoramento da resposta biológica 1 , onde existe apenas um parâmetro envolvido: morte ou vida. Os resultados podem ser facilmente tratados estatisticamente. O ensaio de letalidade permite a avaliação da toxicidade geral e portanto é considerado essencial como bioensaio preliminar no estudo de compostos com potencial atividade biológica 2 . Um dos animais que tem sido utilizado nestes bioensaios é uma espécie de crustáceo marinho, Artemia salina Leach.O primeiro trabalho relativo ao uso de camarão marinho (nome normalmente utilizado) em bioensaios foi publicado em 1956 3 e, a partir daí inúmeros artigos tem sido reportados na literatura em estudos ambientais 4,5 , utilizando produtos e toxinas naturais além de extratos de plantas 1,6 e tem sido proposto como teste padrão por VanHaecke e Persoone 7 . Assim, o bioensaio de letalidade de Artemia salina Leach, foi utilizado no monitoramento da toxicidade de 1,3,5-triazinas substituídas.As triazinas são compostos heterocíclicos cuja síntese tem despertado interesse em função de suas variadas e úteis aplicações. Koopman e Daams 8 investigaram as atividades herbicida e fungicida de várias 2-(amino)-4,6-dicloro-1,3,5-triazinas, sendo a partir daí sintetizados diversos outros derivados de importância na área agrícola. A partir da década de 80, intensificaram-se os estudos desses compostos devido a descoberta de Kobayashi 9 que preparou a 2,4-dicloro-6-(N,N-dimetilamino)-1,3,5-triazina revelando ser inibidora da enzima aromatase, sendo usada como droga anti-câncer. Outras aplicações para esses compostos também tem sido reportadas na literatura recente, como por exemplo, sua utilização como corantes 10 e em colunas com fase estacionária quiral em CLAE para separação enantiomérica de aminoálcoois e aminoácidos 11 . Neste trabalho relatamos a preparação de dez compostos, 1-10 e, os resultados da avaliação de toxicidade utilizando o bioensaio de letalidade com Artemia salina Leach.
RESULTADOS E DISCUSSÃOForam sintetizados dez derivados 1,3,5-triazínicos utilizando-se técnica de catálise por transferência de fase (CTF), sendo que 2, 3 e 10 são novos e os demais, 1, e 4 -9, já descritos na literatura, obtidos porém através de outra metodologia 12 . A Figura 1 mostra as estruturas das substâncias sintetizadas. A utilização da metodologia de CTF mostrou-se eficiente, rendimentos entre 75-99%, facilitando o isolamento e purificação dos produtos.
