RESUMEN: La percepción del dolor resulta de múltiples y dinámicos mecanismos en el sistema nervioso central (SNC) y periférico que inhiben o facilitan el estímulo y respuesta nociceptiva. Sin embargo, la principal capacidad de modulación esta a cargo del SNC. Los estímulos nociceptivos son detectados por terminaciones nerviosas libres de neuronas periféricas que sinaptan con neuronas aferentes secundarias de la médula espinal. Luego estas fibras decusan para formar las vías nociceptivas ascendentes. Una vez alcanzadas las estructuras subcorticales, se activan las neuronas del tálamo, quienes envían el estímulo hacia la corteza somatosensorial, desencadenando la percepción consciente del dolor y activando el sistema inhibitorio descendente. Para que la modulación nociceptiva se realice, es necesaria la participación de diversas sustancias o neurotransmisores que conectan áreas del SNC especializadas. Por lo tanto, el objetivo de este estudio fue realizar una revisión de la literatura respecto de los mecanismos que participan en los procesos de modulación central del dolor.
La ecología política y los estudios urbanos son campos de saberes heterogéneos y dinámicos, difíciles de delimitar tanto por su amplitud como por su complejidad, pero también por sus pliegues, vacíos y yuxtaposiciones. Por ello, es necesario contribuir a la construcción de un mapa intelectual que permita situar los aportes de la ecología política de la urbanización desde América Latina. En este sentido, desarrollamos una investigación bibliográfica para identificar y comprender las convergencias y divergencias teóricas y político-ideológicas entre estos campos todavía emergentes. Para esto, realizamos un análisis de contenido que relaciona 30 artículos de revistas científicas. Los resultados muestran convergencias en la integración teórica del fenómeno de la urbanización a los marcos transdisciplinares y holísticos de la ecología política, y divergencias en la radicalidad de la crítica al sistema capitalista, las influencias intelectuales de organismos multilaterales y la mayor o menor tendencia a reproducir la fragmentación del fenómeno urbano. Concluimos con una propuesta de agenda general de investigación.
El presente trabajo se sitúa en el debate epistemológico-ontológico en psicología y su relación con la racionalidad moderna. Se propone un esquema analítico que permite cartografiar las principales escuelas psicológicas para mostrar el predominio de la corriente idealista como fundamento. Se discute el problema teórico del reduccionismo subjetivista, individualista y del solipsismo filosófico, estrechamente relacionado a la idea abstracta de sujeto, la pretensión de universalidad de las teorías, y su énfasis en la categoría de “tiempo”. Este programa moderno de producción de teorías ha decantado en complejos mecanismos de colonialismo intelectual y dogmatismos que desconocen las condiciones de producción cultural y de base territorial de las teorías. Se propone un enfoque crítico que retoma las ontologías relacionales, la inclusión de la categoría de “espacio” y del materialismo dialéctico para situar la producción de conocimientos en psicología desde y para América Latina.
