O objetivo deste artigo é analisar a associação entre os tipos de resposta e as características dos solicitantes dos pedidos de acesso à informação do governo federal brasileiro, no período de 2012 a 2017. Com base na literatura sobre determinantes da transparência, foram elaboradas as hipóteses de pesquisa para testar se as características dos solicitantes de informações estavam associadas com os tipos de resposta fornecida pelo governo federal. Os dados foram analisados por meio de estatísticas descritivas e da técnica de Análise de Correspondência Múltipla (ACM). Dentre os principais resultados, destaca-se que as respostas do governo federal aos pedidos de acesso à informação não possuem forte associação com as características dos solicitantes. Portanto, há outros fatores que poderiam explicar o tipo de resposta, como o conteúdo da informação solicitada e/ou a complexidade do pedido.
